Turns your Mac Pro into a rocket

I installed 4 of these 2GB DDR2 sticks in my 1st gen Mac Pro quad 2.66GHz (2006-2007) and EVERYTHING is faster. These should be installed as pairs, preferably the same quantity for maximum throughput. Place 2 in slots 1 and 2 in the upper RAM card, and 2 in slots 1 and 2 in the lower RAM card for 8GB of memory. When adding more RAM, fill slots 3 and 4 in the upper card, then 3 and 4 in the lower. My 8GBs make my Mac Pro feel like it got a processor upgrade. Highly recommended. |
