Chenbro Bracket Mounting Kit 2.5IN SATAII HDD to 3.5IN HDD Tray for RM11602T RM12404 RM13204
Cons:Fit on 2.5" drive isn't perfect. 2.5" drive can still move as a result.
Pros:Super inexpensive, Works! Comment:
This is exactly what you want if all you want to do is install a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay. I've never understood why other adapters are so expensive. All I want is a frame that will make all of the screws fit. This very inexpensive metal bracket does just that! It's perfect for a SSD, which is what I'm using it for. It's less perfect for a 2.5" drive that actually spins. That's because the bracket only uses 3 screws to hold the 2.5" drive and it's still possible for the 2.5" drive to move a bit as a result. That might result in some rattles or hums with a spinning drive. But for a SSD with no moving parts, it's the perfect way to mount the 2.5" size in a regular 3.5" bay.Bonus points because I'm using the InWin BP655 Mini-ITX case, which has an odd 0.8" high 3.5" drive bay. Normal drives and adapters won't fit into that low-height bay! But this simple frame lets me install a 2.5" SSD. Perfect solution! |
Mount an 2.5" SSD to a standard 3.5" HD tray. Works well.Cheaper, and better than a different "name brand" SSD adapter that wasn't wide enough to allowed me to mount the bracket.
