Cisco Valet Connector
Cons:haven't found one
Pros:stable, easy setup, stand and extension cable Comment:
Had an old usb wireless stick jammed into the back of the old spare desktop, but it needed zydas drivers which were impossible to find. This was easy to install, I don't think cisco's going to disappear overnight so it should be compatible for a long while, and the extension cable is great. |

Cisco Valet Connector
Cons:but not well.
Pros:It works... Comment:
I got this adapter in a bundle during ncix's back to school sale with a valet router. Must say that I'm not at all impressed with this. For something with a reference price of $80, I expected a miraculous range from this thing, but no, it's nowhere near acceptable levels. For the range this adapter works, you might as well buy yourself an ethernet cable which will do much better. My laptop's built in wireless card does better, like 10 - 15 mbps better. Overall my router was amazing, so I still got an amazing deal. |

Cisco Valet Connector
Cons:Gets quite warm to the touch
Pros:Works like it should Comment:
Bought it for $10, comes with usb extension cable/stand-up cradle. Can't believe the employee tried to up-sell a warranty plan for $10, wouldn't I rather buy a 2nd one for the same price. Works well, but doesn't auto install drivers. You gotta navigate to the usb drive, and launch the wizard. |

Cons:So far none.
Pros:I bought it for $10, also a 128MB flash drive. Comment:
Bought it for $10, so can't complain. It looks very stylish, and it comes with its own USB extension cable so that the drive won't block other USB ports. It's about the same size as a typical USB flash drive. |

Pros:Fast speed and very practical Comment:
I bought this to replace my D-Link because it had a trouble with the channels in the area but this Cisco adapter was really reliable so far. It was worth the money and essentially, I made a gain with a better reliability. |

Cisco Valet Connector
Cons:Hard to installTry so many times and have conflict with my current wireless card (56 mb)
Pros:None, Basic this is useless if it disconnects from time to time Comment:
For the price of $9.99, i should have expect this device is cheap as it can get and the value of it says it all. I am using Windows Pro 64 bit. The device requires me to connect like 5 times to get recognize. When it auto installed, it does not connect into the internet. This install creates a connection 2, when i disable my wireless card, (disable connection 1), the connection 2 show connecting to router, but it does not have internet access.I have to reboot my computer to refresh ip and stuff and reboot my router just in case the ip address is in conflict. So 1 day later, it seems to work. I see the connection is at 300mb/s. Sometimes i would see 4 bars comes to 3 and then the internet goes off and on. I was playing a game, i got DC, i have revert back to my old (56mb) wireless connection, it works fine. What a waste of my money. I bought 2 of them, double the whammy. Please don't buy it unless you can afford to waste some time to figure it out and when you figure it out, it does not do the job. Yes, i upgrade the drive, it says i have the latest version and so on and forth This review was modfied by poster @ 03-16-12 09:01 AM |
Well I got this just because it was around $8, but never used it. Planning of installing it on my Windows PC.For my usage it isn't too useful since I don't use Windows most of the time. Good for most people though.
