Operates fantastic, takes up the 3 bays and fits perfectly into my case. Has plenty of area for 4 challenging drives, even though it is a bit tight to be absolutely truthful. Keeps the drives quite cool, about 32 degrees C typical, which isn't great, but it's surely properly within spec.Issue is pretty well created, it's not sturdy enough for you to stand on it, but why would you? Fan is fairly weak to be honest with you. The blue LED isn't THAT bright, it's no huge deal unless you take off the filter (which there's no purpose to do if you ask me). It just doesn't move a whole lot of air, particularly when the entire point is filled. I'd buy one more a single if I had the room for it. Freed up all my fans in the front of the case to push fresh air proper into the case with no obtaining to pass by the drives. Simply worth the 20 bucks I paid.

A should have for many HDDs. I have two of these with Ɩ) 1TB black drive and ƒ) 2TB green drives. The 120 mm fans on the front of these keeps the HDDs cool. The screw connections to mount the HDDs leaves something to be desired, but I can deal with it.

Excellent low cost selection compared to the SATA backplane cagesFits in a case with "toolless" drive baysDrives effortless to installVibration dampeningContains a fan Fan could be betterFan a small tricky to replace (knocked 1 egg for this)Plug wire was just barely extended adequate to reach the closest fan port on my mobo This was just what I was looking for and it should do the job effectively.Note on removing/replacing the fan: I purchased this based on evaluations saying the fan was simple to take away than ended up dumbfounded for a even though on how to do so. Here's how to do it:The fan is attached by plastic rivets that consist of a center pin with a "bulb" at the finish and an outer housing that is expanded by the bulb when the pin is completely inserted. To get rid of:With a screwdriver tip (or equivalent tool), push the bulb end of the pin in about 25% of the length of the pin. This will let the two sides of the outer housing to be able to squeezed with each other. You really should then be in a position to grab the front of the outer housing with fingers or needle-nose pliers and pull it out of the cage and fan. Bear in mind to keep the pin ㅑ% out of the housing when attaching the new fan. The moment the housing is completely inserted, press the center pin in the rest of the way.

Holds 4 tough drives, has a blue LED fan. The fan is a brighter blue than me Centurion 590 and I had to struggle to get it in. I had to take it in and out 4 instances before I ultimately got it in. It did get scratched mainly because of what I did, but that's just my fault. I wish it was the exact same good quality as the hdd cage in my case. But overall, I'm satisfied.

Didn't need it as a drive cage, but does great job operating colder air more than my ram and cpu.

Looks incredibly good and seems effectively built. It came with lots of screws and a energy adapter for the fan. Kudos Cooler Master, I appreciate it when everything I want to get going is included. The fan is weak. Four hard drives in such a modest space leaves small room for air flow and the integrated fan doesn't have adequate oomph. I had 4 difficult drives just standing on edge in the bottom of my laptop or computer situation with a transportable, household-type fan blowing on them from 2 feet away. Immediately after putting in them in this enclosure and placing it in the exact same location but w/o the home fan blowing on it, temperatures went up by 12 degrees F. Sheesh. It looks a lot nicer now, although, and no fear the drives will fall over. It's also terrible they didn't make it suitable for putting in 3 challenging drives a small further apart. The included fan would most likely function okay in that configuration.Cooler Master, you need to know the fan is weak. Why did you put that piece of @#!% on there ? To sell me a different fan, maybe ?Conclusion: extremely good location for four difficult drives to sit, not so great for cooling them off. Less than I expected from a organization calling itself Cooler Master.

This is a excellent module that makes it possible for you to set up four three.5" difficult drives in the similar space as three 5.25" bays, and has a fan at the front of the cage for double duty as a case intake and a cooler for your drives. You can also set up laptop drives and SSDs by using two.5" to three.five" adapters (Silverstone tends to make a good one). Can't be beat for this cost! None The plastic face and fan assembly can be removed for use in any situation with three five.25" bays obtainable. You can also swap out the fan for a more powerful / larger good quality one in this way.I did this for use in my CM Stacker 830 and employed 1 of the case's own fan brackets in front of the module to preserve a uniform look. The purpose I purchased this one particular as an alternative of working with the module that came with the 830 is that this a single is aluminum as an alternative of gray steel. It just looks better.

What a phenomenal and straightforward tiny answer for a tough drive space issue ,AND it's a excellent place to add yet another fan considering that I can't use the major fan mounts. The blue fan was not great for my CM Nvidia 690 green-themed situation so I replaced with a green LED fan, which I mounted with 4 silicone rubber fan goobers. This factor is effortless and considerable and looks rather professional; despite the fact that, it fits collectively in a precise way or else it will not assemble accurately. Possibly that is a frustration for some individuals. It fits completely perfectly. It seriously looks like it was made for my situation. The black paint precisely matches it. I just Adore it! none

1. You can fit four HDD into 3 useless drive bays. You know you know 90% of men and women only use 1 drive and there rest of them are useless.2. Extremely sleek and cool looking design.3. Quite effectively created, generous quantity of aluminum and the plastic is not undesirable at all.4. Quiet fan. 1. No switch to turn off the light.2. Incredibly challenging to disassemble.3. There appears to be some clearance troubles with the fan hitting the metal mesh.four. I wish the fan is more powerful. It is worth it getting extra 4 x 3.5 bays with a fan integrated

I have four three.five" Seagate HDDs taking up three five.25" bays.- Simple to install- Construction felt solid- Keeps the drives cool- Looks good in a CoolerMaster case - Might not appear excellent in a non-CoolerMaster case.- ฮ shipped seemed like a lot, though it is a lot more of a specialty item and does come with a fan- Not everybody will get pleasure from the default blue LED This slid in easily right after getting rid of the three bay covers on my CoolerMaster 800 case. It blends in nicely with the similar-brand case.Dropped an egg for the above-listed cons, specially given that the CoolerMaster logo sticks out and could appear odd combined with other circumstances.

Performs excellent. Wish the sold just the aluminum cage given that I didn't want the LED fan (replaced it with a quiet and higher airflow Noctua) or the front fan cover/filter as it fits inside my Antec Solo which has side airvents which draw enough air. Fit basic slides in perfectly with the 4 further Antec five.25" drive bay rails attached to the silicon rubber isolation plates. Will be easy to add and get rid of drives. To the earlier reviewer: you didn't require to cut off the fan grommets, they are push release forms. Just pushed the pins in from the back and had the fan off in 5sec. fan cover and filter need to be simpler to remove. Get rid of the blue LED fan.

Fits in most garbage bins. After a handful of months only 1 led at the fan is operating. They stopped 1 soon after the other. The fan can\'t be replaced - there are no screws. You have to cut it away...The negative issue is that I bought six other fans of the very same sort for my case and as replacement. At not 1 of them all leds are nonetheless operating. The last fan worked only for 3 weeks. So this product is just scrap. It was not negative luck with 1 poor item. They have to know about this scrap and nevertheless sell it. Tricky to believe...but accurate!Exact same was correct for the fans of my Cooler Master situation. One fan dead out of the box and the other one - don't ask me for the leds :-(((( Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer - We apologize for any inconvenience. The 4 in 3 comes with a 1 year warranty which means we can have the fans replaced. You can order replacement fans below warranty by means of the Component Request link beneath. In regards to the "screws," they are tool-much less pins. Every one is two pins that connect together to hold the fan in spot. You can separate them at the head of the pin and release that particular. If you have much more concerns, please contact us via the Reside Chat link beneath. Sturdy, has a fan, can hold 4 difficult drives in a space generally reserved for 3 front bays.Keeps my drives cool ࿀ degrees typical)Not considerably assembly necessary.I chose to add two old IDE brackets from a preceding IDE removable drive bay .It was not completely needed but i have an old case and it's just a much better snug fit like that. Not seriously a dilemma but i wished the fan could move additional air, specially with four drives (I have 2 at the moment and they stay at 30-34 degrees centigrade, which is good considering that the manufacturer's limit is 60 degrees) Without having the fan the drive will go up to 40 degrees in an uncooled external docking station. There is no interface, you plug a SATA cable amongst your motherboard and directly to your drives.(I had major complications with an uncomplicated-swap interface from a different drive rack company , brought the 3 of them back to the retailer after they fried two of my drives and got the coolermaster 4 in three rather)Your drives are resting on little shelves inside the cage and you screw them in spot with the supplied screws. Then there are two panels that go on the side with four rubbery silicone dampeners between the cage and the panels. For vibration absorbption i suppose. Then you have to hold the panels in location though you insert the whole issue in the front of your laptop or computer situation. If you want to alter 1 of your drives, you have to pull the entire issue out initial, this is not for continual drive swapping.Alternatively you can open your case and unplug some of your drives from the back of the cage if you don't need to have them for a while. If it got stolen i would buy it once again.

- Quiet fan- Rubber grommets isolate the cage from the situation, which keeps it quiet.- Enables mounting of four drives in the space that would commonly only accommodate three. - There is a lot of restriction by way of the front grill, filter, and between drives, which indicates the underpowered fan has difficulty moving a lot of air. - The cage is sturdy sufficient for what it requirements to do, although the metal is slightly on the thin side. - The flashing LED light on the fan is annoying, even though as other people indicated it can be clipped and disabled.- Filter cleaning is tricky since all drives need to have to be disconnected and the complete cage removed from the situation. Or you could attempt to blow compressed air out from inside the case and suck the dust cloud up. I replaced the offered fan with an additional 1200rpm, 120mm fan. Any open-flange fan will perform. It's held in with plastic rivets that can be removed/reinstalled simply. It's noisier (air turbulence), but temps on my WD Black 1.5TB drives went from 47C to 35C. With the stock fan, use only low-powered drives like WD greens. All round I'm pleased with the buy. But make no mistake, there are some annoyances.

Operates very effectively... drives fit properly in cage and cage fits effectively in situation. Rubber pads to dampen vibration Blue LEDs (see "other thoughts") For those confused by some critiques complaining about particularly bright blue LEDs, and other people saying they are dim: I have 2 of this model... one particular I purchased from a brick-and-mortar retailer more than a year ago, and a single I bought from Newegg a couple of months ago. Now I totally HATE blue LEDs, but the older one particular's LEDs were dim sufficient that they were tolerable even to me -- you would have to appear straight at the cage to even see them (and this is when it was brand new, it's not that they're faded now by becoming blocked by the filter or anything like that). Being aware of this, I wasn't worried about the blue LEDs so bought one more 1 of the same model when I necessary a second cage, rather of seeking for one thing without having LEDs. My new a single is glaringly bright and annoying, and I am going to have to figure out how to get at the fan and do some surgery on it as described by some other reviewers. I suppose this would even be annoying for those who like the LEDs, as 2 cages in a case are probably to be mismatched.

I don't see how these sort of products can get negative critiques. It's a piece of metal with a fan on it. People today griping about the LEDs on the fan? Please... If you don't like the lights, acquire a new fan (any 120mm fan will do) or get a various drive bay adapter. Geez. There's no pleasing some individuals. I for 1 didn't truly know it had lights, but I was pleasantly shocked. They aren't that bright they just add a tiny life to the front panel. It does what is created to do. Nothing additional, absolutely nothing less. If you don't mind the lights or replacing the fan if you don't, purchase it. You genuinely can't go wrong.

I was hunting for one thing that would cool my drives and at the similar time dampen the noise - they had been rattling and vibrating around in my Coolermaster case.I only have two drives installed and they remain at about 30C. The WDC black nevertheless tends to make noise but it's so substantially quieter thanks to the rubber dampers. For the price, I can only recommend this tiny factor. none

This is my very first critique ever, I in no way do evaluation could be because of my English. The 4 in 3 device module looks and feels of a high top quality item and great style but I have to RMA it due to poor quality control. The module that I received, at the suitable side panel that support 4-tricky drive has been assembly with the wrong portion. Instead of using Correct panel part they use Left panel aspect for both left and right. so the assistance on the right are in reverse position that imply the four slot for tough drive are not align. I truly like to keep it and wish this kind of issue ought to not came out from the assembly line. Initial I RMA for replacement but then (from my engineer instinct) I feel there will be more not just the one I received with this issue. and if I have to return it for the second time my return shipment will nearly be as high-priced as the module itself. So I ask for refund instead and waste my บ shipment for nothing at all.
