Cheap way to add far more three.five" drive capacity to your tower.Keeps the drives awesome and easily removable as a set.Filter on the fan.Low noise fan.Vibration dampeners.Desirable bezel... except for the somewhat flashy logo. I would rather see a three-in-three style than a four-in-three to provide superior spacing for superior cooling for hot drives. As such, I'll only be making use of this with 2 drives installed. The filter is not quickly removable. The drives need to be disconnected, then cage removed, lastly the font bezel unscrewed. This is not a thing that will encourage individuals to preserve their filters clean. The massive Cooler Master name plate blocks 1Ǚ prospective airflow.Such as a fan with LEDs. They're not vibrant, but they're still annoying. An solution to turn them off effortlessly would be a enormous plus. I replaced the fan with a non-LED model immediately immediately after unpacking. Then I later wrapped electrical tape about the struts to be capable to reuse this fan elsewhere as it's nonetheless a nice fan.Person drive vibration absorbers would have been a actually great touch. The dampened plates can be cumbersome to handle, but at the exact same time they're completely removable so they're 100% out of the way when you will need them to be. It matches my Antec Atlas nicely as they both use a horizontal vents design. My case only holds 4 3.5" drives stock but they are extremely nicely spaced. Similar spacing is what I would like to see in an adapter like this. The plastic rivets holding the fan to the cage are reusable. Slide a knife edge or a fingernail under the smaller head and they will pop up enabling you to pull them out. You may have to squeeze the other finish of the rivet slightly to get rid of them.Mine is holding a pair of Seagate 7200.12 500GB drives in RAID 1 and maintaining them nicely cooled and stable. Even with all its minor flaws; if I ever need to mount a number of 3.5" drives in a few 5.25" bays yet again, I would acquire a different of these rather than searching out a equivalent product from a lesser manufacturer. |

Rubber isolated to preserve the drives from transmitting noise and vibration into the situationQuiet fan as properly - didn't add any noise that I can hearBling aspect - adds some looks to my otherwise drab hunting situation Could use some sort of hardware-totally free mounting technique for the difficult drives, rather than have to bolt them in. Installed in a Cooler Master Sileo case, it fit with no troubles. I wanted this distinct case due to it's reputation for quietness. But the case is made for only 3 3.5 inch challenging drives and has 5 half-height slots for optical drives. Why in the world I'd ever will need five optical drives I can't envision. Anyway, this device solved the challenge nicely, giving me room to add challenging drives and leaving just two optical drive slots, which is all I need to have. |

Very good ventilation and keeps the drives cool (keeps the drives at an typical 25C, quiet fan, rubber pads to absorbe the vibrations and really uncomplicated to install. None, very satisfied. I really like the item and a great way to add further space for difficult drives though keeping them cool. I'm not a huge fan of the 4 LED lights in the fan but I knew they had been then when I bought it. |

Coolermaster just tends to make great stuff. If you have a CM-Stacker chasis (or other compatible), and you want to make space for mega-storage raids, this is your answer for placing four three.five, 1- 1.five TB drives inside of a three space area. Nice, compact, and the fan keeps'em cool. None They make my unit appear down appropriate mean. Talk about angry......WoW |

Compatible with the Silverstone PS05-B case.Cuts down on HDD vibration.Fan is replaceable.Filter can be removed for cleaning.Mesh can be removed for cleaning.Sturdy.Four HDD slots.A fantastic amount of screws included. Low RPM fan with LED.Cage must be removed and disassembled to get to the filter and mesh for cleaning, but that's the trade-off for making use of these varieties of cages.Front is not all black. I couldn't believe how much this cage cut down on the HDD vibration in my Silverstone PS05-B Case. Due to the fact the PS05-B utilizes a tool-less style, the cage fit in snugly and wasn't challenging to install or remove. I replaced the fan due to the fact of it's low RPM. The benefit of the low RPM is that the fan will be quieter, with slower dust accumulation. The disadvantage is that it doesn't aid with HDD cooling, in particular if anyone plans to use all four HDD slots.Due to the fact of the way the front is made, the ideal way to clean dust is to take away the cage and eliminate screws to access the removable filter and removable mesh. It's not a excellent cage, but for the funds and the Pros, it's one of the greatest cage solutions out there. The Cons are not deal breakers. My situation has a fantastic challenging drive cage and HDD mounting brackets, but doesn't come close to the Cooler Master in terms of cutting down on HDD vibration. In spite of the Cons, it was worth it. |

Slapped in my drives, took off a handful of front panels on my CM Stacker, slid this in, connected cables and jobs carried out. The fan isn't excessively loud (or awesome) and the rubber grommets where the side metal faceplates are attached make for a low-noise HD cage.Trying to get additional airflow, I use two of these with two drives in a single ƑTB Spinpoints RAID1 array) and 3 drives in the other 鸴GB WD RE4 RAID0 array + SSD) - HD temps are lookin fine below high load, so this is operating fantastic for me.Asides from the technical aspect, it looks fairly cool as properly. You could always take out the blue LED's if that's not your style, but otherwise the front of the enclosure is nice and flush with the front of my case. Lookin' fly. The fan could move a bit far more air, but its not terrible. As other evaluations have stated, the unit have to be pulled out and disassembled (to a degree) in order to access/clean the dust filters. Then again, you could just blast the hell out of the front with a can of air and setup a vacuum cleaner on the other side. This may possibly not work as excellent as really taking anything apart, but for a speedy and dirty (ohh!!!) resolution, it would most likely work fine. Besides, cracking open your case and removing some elements for a very quite thorough cleaning should be something you do on semi-consistent basis. If the front black plastic mesh had been attached by way of hinge, or if the dust filters sat on a removal tray (HAF style), it would make life significantly easier when cleaning your Computer! Works just like the four in three cage that comes with CM stacker circumstances (or with mine, at least) but you don't replace the plastic black front panel pieces you remove to slide in/out HD cages. As an alternative, this 4-in-3 will give the front of your case a facelift / glow. Strong building, strong product. Function out a superior way to clean the dust filters and I'd contact it ideal! |

It's an adapter. What else can I say; it does what its supposed to do. The screw holes didn't line up with my case bracket. I had to do a small shoehorning to get it in spot. The light-up fan isn't as negative as I thought it may possibly've been. If it was a difficulty, the entire adapter will disassemble. The fan is held in spot with plastic rivets / clips, so you'll want pliers for those. |

Vibration dampening features, dust filter, simple to upgrade/replace fan. The vibration dampening characteristics won't do you considerably fantastic if you only have three or four 5.25" bays. That's mainly because, due to the shape of this thing, the inner chassis may possibly come in make contact with with the chassis of the case (at the bottom, top rated or each) in the 5.25" drive bay location, and therefore transfer vibrations. I believed I'd be able to silence my 2x RAID 1's with 1 of these. Sound dampening performance in my little case is not great but okay. Developed well, but could be developed greater. You get the point. |

Precisely what I needed. I wanted an enclosure to hold 4 HDDs as I was installing a new RAID set with 4 drives and wanted them mounted with each other, just mainly because it's easier to tell what's what. The cage that holds the drives is the main piece, then there are two panels, one particular on every side, which attach to the key unit with pegs that fit into rubber grommets. Those panels have the screw holes to attach to the case. The rubber grommets are for noise isolation and seems to function properly - in spite of acquiring added a fan and 4 HDDs to the technique, it doesn't appear any louder to me.Though the description lists only some particular Cooler Master situations for compatibility, this seriously must match in any case with three 5.25" bays readily available (provided there are no obstructions between the bays of course). I have it mounted in a Thermaltake VA8003BWS. I'm not a fan of sleeve bearings. Nonetheless the fan is working nicely so far and isn't noticeably loud so I'm not docking an egg for it.Although the fan is functioning adequately, it doesn't push very as considerably air as the fan attached to the Thermaltake 3-drive cage that came with my case. As far as I'm aware this is the only widely available item to fit four drives into three 5.25" bays (aside from significantly larger finish hot-swap enclosures, which are ridiculously pricey), so if you want its functionality, just deal with the sleeve bearing fan - it can be swapped with a much better fan if you're worried about it.There are 24 total screws applied if you fill all four HDD slots; four for every single drive, then 4 on each and every side of the cage to mount it to the case. Thankfully, all 24 are offered in the box. :) |

Fit suitable into case w/o modificationsHolds four 3.5" drives in three complete-size bay locationFan blows over drives into caseSuper quietBest price tag when compared to other on the net retailers Fan appears slow.Fan connection for motherboard connect also brief for complete-tower case, molex adapter connects to motherboard connector for direct power feed (included). I have an old strong steel tower case, was once sold by SCO for it's Unix servers. Case has internal location for 5 three.five" and an further five full-size front bay slots. Occasionally drives can bring up the heat in a system when utilizing internal 3.five" locations and there isn't much of a way to cool them down. This cooler was a uncomplicated, and low-price, way to get this accomplished. Instead of heatsinks on every single drive, and losing area in drive region, this allowed a continual flow of air over 4 drives at the leading of the case. This airflow is pulled out back of case by rear case fan and PS fan. Fairly smart concept. A minor hum from fan, but not even noticable.I hooked it directly to energy supply, fan is running full speed. Suprised it's throttled so low. 4 eggs due to short cable for motherboad manage, and slow fan. But don't let that deter your buy! Dropped my drive temp by about 15 degrees F.Chassis slipped appropriate in, so no case mods had been needed. |

Outstanding item all around. Make's it effortless to fit 4 three.5" drives in to 3 5.25" drive bays. Plus it adds drive cooling and vibration dampening at the exact same time. Lastly, its Inexpensive! Not made low cost, but the price tag is wonderful for what it does. Most devices like this typically expense much much more. I run two Raptor and 2 1TB WD Black drives in it. It keep's all the drives cool. The fan is quiet, and if you really feel on the other side of the drives (mine is setup as intake) you can barely feel any air movement through the drives. Even so for I removed the fan to see what the temps would do. Nicely, immediately after about 12hrs the drive temps had risen much more then 10c each and every way over 50c. Working with this in push or pull fan position my drives temps range from 38-42c according to hwmonitor. Also my case utilizes rails, an older Antec 1040 and it fits fine. This really should fit fine in any case and I've worked with plenty. None, Nada, Zero, Zip, Zilch. Only factor I can assume of would be to perhaps make it so they could mount the drives vertically to get 5 drives into three five.25" bays would be the only issue they could add. But that could lead to quite high temps with no air flow having five drives sandwiched. In particular with diverse drive brands. I don't actually look at this a con, as once again 5 drives sandwiched in there could produce some fairly high temps and you would shed out on the anti-vibration and vast case array that the present item fits in. |

It does what its supposed to. packs four 3.five" drives in 3 five.25" bays while delivering cooling by way of the fan in the front. If light bothers you especially blue light the LED's on the fan may annoy you? but its affordable and operates. Fits in original Thermaltake Armor Series case with no modifications. The case is screwless design and I dont see it getting any problems with other situations unless its just a affordable case and the manufacturer was a small lazy with their tolerances |

Solid construction, has a fan, has a quiet fan, and no extra electronics to drive the price up. Just a HDD mounting solution with a cooling fan for excellent measure. Went into my old MidTower case without having any fuss at all. Fan could push more air and the cable could be a bit longer. This is precisely what I necessary. I didn't what 1 of those housings with RAID and fancy LED's blinking all more than the spot. I just wanted to place some HDD's up into some unused 5.25 bays. Appealing front bezel, great fan with filter. Installation was fairly straight forward also. The stock fan looked out of place when this unit was installed in my file server so I swapped it with a non-LED, quieter Noctua fan and it still keeps the drives cool. It is specifically what it says it is, and performs as expected. Swapping out the fan is a bit cumbersome as it utilizes plastic rivets as an alternative of typical fan screws. Hard drives can not be swapped out without having removing the whole unit from the drive bays, but for the cost paid I can reside with that. This point is exactly what I required to move my file server into an old, cheap complete-tower ATX case. I essential one more case for a create and didn't want to use the complete tower, or acquire one more case so I moved the file server into the full tower and used the CM Centurion-5 that the file server was in. |

Simple to mount drives, then mount in case. Fan cools drive straight. A wonderful style, well constructed. Can't add/remove drives without removing unit in case. Will need to replace the fan if you don't like the front of your case glowing. Would be 5 eggs, but treating it as if it didn't come with a needed fan, considering that the offered 1 is unusable unless the laptop or computer is kept out of sight. Why don't items like this come with fans that are just fans and let those who want the light show replace them? From other comments, it appears that those who prefer or green lights have the very same issue with it that I do. |
