I had a Coolermaster GeminII S524 in an HTPC case(NMEDIA 5000b) and with a Phenom II 955 overclocked to 4.0GHZ I would often reach or exceed the 62 degree max temp under heavy load. I bought this cooler to reduce noise and lower temperature. I drilled 4 holes on top of the case so I could mount screws through the perforated 120mm hole. I am now seeing temperatures reaching a max of 51-53 degrees and a reduction in noise. This is also still using a single fan, so performance could be further increases using another Coolermaster PWM fan. There is zero pump noise on this unit, if you are getting noise with this I would advise to send it back.
