Coolermaster CM Storm SpawN 3500DPI Gaming Mouse 7 Button Black Red
Cons:Wired (not a con for me, but may be for some)The cable isn't braided, but it's glossy and feels durableLocked to 3 steps for adjusting DPI, but the individual DPI settings can be adjusted via drivers.
Pros:Excellent build quality (materials, switches, and design)"Flawless" optical sensor (no prediction or acceleration, angle snapping can be turned off via drivers)Light weight, very smooth teflon feet, and easy to lift (great for low-sensitivity gamers)Adjustable lift-off-distance via firmware (very convenient and easy to install)Claw grip design (could be a con depending on how you like your mice) |

Coolermaster CM Storm SpawN 3500DPI Gaming Mouse 7 Button Black Red
Cons:-It's wired, but that is negligible due to its light weight for portability.-Scroll button is too easy to actuate when scrolling up (not down, curiously)-Cable could be braided, but it's long, thick and flexible (that's what she said) enough.
Pros:-Lightweight and nimble, good for FPS gaming and also happens to function as a great laptop mouse-It's flat, so my sweaty palm won't touch the mouse if I fingertip or claw grip it.-Mouse is adequate to palm if you have smaller hands (my hand is 7" long)-Finished in a semi-gloss crimson red color that doesn't attract fingerprints, a plus-Ultra sensitive Omron left and right click buttons, very responsive and nice for twitch gamers-Has plastic grips for the thumb and pinky, great for a sure grip. Comment:
I bought this mouse as a competent replacement for my generic Lenovo mouse. While that mouse still works, it is sluggish for FPS. This mouse is an excellent value (cheaper than Logitech and Razer, to name a few), and it performs remarkably well for a low price. It's also a bonus to have it look very nice in a eye-catching red colour. Recommended. |

Coolermaster CM Storm SpawN 3500DPI Gaming Mouse 7 Button Black Red
Cons:Mouse bugs when voip (such as skype, mumble, ventrillo. ts, etc) software is open.
Pros:Great feel, highly responsive, looks good, etc. Comment:
http://www.cmstorm.com/forum/showthread.php?2949-Spawn-Ventrillo-Skype-Mumble-Compatibility-bugIts unfortunate.. until this started happening to me it was my favourite mouse. This renders it unusable on 90% of Windows 7 computers. The cm progammers are apparently working on a fix, but its taken more than a year. If it werent for this bug Id give this mouse a 5, however at the moment its just trash on my shelf.Recommend only for people not using internet voice clients. |

Pros:Claw grip FTW. Affordable. Comment:
Finally an afforable claw grip mouse. A great alternative to the G9X. I never use the high DPI settings as it is, and I really like the feel of this mouse. |

Coolermaster CM Storm SpawN 3500DPI Gaming Mouse 7 Button Black Red
Cons:The red/black colour since it doesn't match my black keyboard and case but that's minor.
Pros:Basic gamer mouse and easy to configure software. Good combination of plastics/rubber for comfort. From manufacturer: "Japanese-made Omron micro-switches that are meant to endure up to five million clicks". Comment:
First off, I do not game at all but I do prefer mid-range game mice for their programmable buttons. Previous mouse was a Razer DeathAdder which I owned for months until the left button started sticking. How can it be for games if it can't even handle light-duty tasks?! The Spawn was designed with Omron micro-switches so it should last much longer. Although it looks compact but it is wide, and although it feels light but has nice soft rubber grips on the sides. You must use it like a claw which means no more sweaty palms compared to the long Razer. I liked it so much that I've purchased another for a 2nd PC :) |
This mouse feels like it was custom built for my hand and gaming style. Depending on how you play games it might be exactly what you're looking for as well. The mouse will work for anyone, but its feature set is designed to cater to people who:- use a claw grip (where your fingers don't always lie flat on the mouse)- use relatively low sensitivity (the mouse is excellent if you're lifting and repositioning it often)- use a mouse pad (being optical it won't work on glass, and it's best on dark surfaces, but with the wide variety of firmwares you can make it work on just about any colour)I can't say enough good things about this mouse, and think that this should be the go-to mouse for most gamers out there. If you've been using razer and similar mice (especially ones with laser sensors) give this thing a try and rediscover how a mouse should feel.
