Sits flat which is good for my application. Comment: I bought this to cool my Surround Sound receiver, which is in a cabinet with poor ventilation. I set the laptop fan on the top of the receiver, over the ventilation holes, plugged a USB 110V adaptor into the switched outlet on the back of the amplifier, plugged in the fan and the amp is now running cool and quiet. Airflow is from bottom to top, drawing the hot air out of the amp, allowing cool air to flow in the bottom. Perfect!
