This hin is massive and i do imply massive, i had to eliminate my top rated side fan in my CM690 case , and get rid of my major three optical drives in order to make room in the case for it, the thing tends to make no noise with benchmark with my penom II X4 940 from 3. to 3.eight, works ought to remove the entire motherboard to take away all exisiting mounting hardware and use thier included mounting clips on the underside, do not be fooled by the skrews on the major of the device tat seem not possible to get at with a screwdriver they are just for show all bolts are truly mounted underneath the board. with easier mounting such as a clip into exisiting motherboard cpu mounting this would be a considerably greater solution for most men and women.

the v-ten is a single of the greater, if not the greatest cooling resolution that is really near what one would get with water cooling. its keeping my Athlon II X4 645 Propus running close to 26c idle, and 45c when operating contemporary warfare two, wow, eve, crysis, or fall out 2. im confident there are games out there most of you are operating that have a bigger demand, but this cooler none-the-less will satisfy your need to have for cooling. i removed my ram coolers due to the fact that i dont will need them any longer. a single of two fans act as a memory coller blowing case air down onto the ram. all in allthis is a kickin product and will use it in my next build. can be a pain to clean if there are no air filters on your intake fans, but i guess that's a case difficulty not a fan challenge. right after my personal "user error" connected issue with tweaking one particular of the mount brackets, i called cooler master to order new brackets, and they shipped them out cost-free of charge. subsequent day delivery even. not a single cent out of my pocket. i would have to say cooler masters client help is one particular of the finest in the market, and i would definitely get their products from now on, due to no hassle support, and wonderful solutions. i extremely advise them to every person i know. thanks once more cooler master...

Same remarkable cooler all I can say! This is just an update! I produced a error in a prior critique and wanted to clarify my blunders. I was contested by a friend of mine saying that there is no way I was running my 8GB @ 1066 with an m4a79 Deluxe and x4 940. I went into the bios to prove him wrong and what do you know he was right should have hit down arrow to quite a few occasions and set it back to 667. So I apologize for providing false facts and will from now on be far more cautious when writing critiques! I know that I use these critiques heavily when buying, so I am certain that other people do as well and getting accurate info is imperative! Once more significantly caution will go into further critiques. Replaced thermal compound with Artic Silver five and idles have been down to 34 C. But the compound provided in the box works fine.

I have been running my own V10 from the initial week it was available on Newegg. This factor is rock solid despite a fan failure in the 1st two weeks which wasn't a problem...Apart from the fact that I was going to replace the fans as soon as I got my V10 & was just too lazy to swap them out or just too thrilled at obtaining it & wanting to place it by way of it's paces...End of the day if it had not been a hybrid Peltier process I would have fried my CPU.Procrastination over swapping out the fans but still using the Computer for three days & still the CPU was fine.To be sincere I thought about running just the peltier on it's personal & not popping the newer more quickly / quieter fans in place. There is room on my mobo beneath the V10 for ram cooling working with two large chromed tri-fan units that came with my ram (freebies from newegg back then). This thing is a dream come correct, even for the duration of / soon after 14 hours of solid gaming my CPU is kept at beneath ambient room temps.I have employed 12 more in clients builds. Only the Fan challenge in the initially 2 weeks, undesirable batch of fans from coolermaster who sent fans out within days of figuring out of the challenge.Had this been any other heatsink fan combo my cpu would have fried, the peltier worked great on it's own, so it was far more of a hinderace than a con & dealt with faster by CoolerMaster than it was by me... I would reccomend this V10 to anyone that is critical about cooling a Pc, it doesn't matter if you are a gamer or you just will need a trustworthy workhorse, this will conserve you CPU exactly where other people would kill it should you have a fan issue. With my Asus mobo I have space to not only swap out my ram but essentially have sufficient space to also set up two significant chromed tri-fan ram coolers which permitted me to put a quieter fan more than the ram section of the unit.I have since used 12 much more of these in builds for customers who so far over a ten to 13 month period have not had a single issue with their V10s.Being a hybrid you have that security that if the fan/s or the peltier fails for any purpose at all you have a back up built in that will conserve your CPU.I had tested the only other hybrid readily available back when the V10 was launched, the V10 out performed the other unit in all bench tests, it not only did this but it looks a lot better & is a lot less complicated to set up.Value saved on CPUs tends to make up for unit expense.

Newegg delivered it in a single day. Fit quickly in my Cooler Master RC-840 case and EVGA Classified MB, but even with the cutout on the slide out tray, I had to take away the MB to set up. Getting rid of the MB also essential removing the 3-way SLI Video cards. The 4 screws that attach the unit to the MB are reverse thread on the flanges, and the nuts that attach below the MB underneath have two distinct thread - except for a single that had no threads at all. The threads had been NOT stripped, they never existed. Cooler Master reside chat was dead, and holding for 15 minutes on the telephone is my limit. So I returned the unit, and ordered a Zalman CNPS9900LED and Corsair CMXAF2. High quality control was the dilemma, that and poor design. The brackets for attaching the unit could easily be developed with threads on the below board bracket so it could be slid beneath the MB and attached from the top rated. Their design challenge also goes with the RC-840 case. Excellent cooling, but only 7 expansion slots (one PCIe) and six being taken up by 3 modern day video cards it's designed for a previous generation. Newegg was the only very good expertise. The highest temperature I have noticed complete load playing CoDWaW was 36 C. For those who have higher temps, I envision you are making use of also a lot arctic silver or have poor circulation in Pc case. I spread my arctic silver with a razor blade - really thin layer - any more than that is an insulator. This issue looks fantastic in the Computer as nicely. This is not so considerably of a con if you can be patient as I was. Dependent on your Computer case and motherboard - you will far more than probably need to have to install cpu and V-ten prior to putting in your MB. The HAF 932 has a space on side panel, but the Crosshair III Formula MB backplate does not line up just right - maybe this will save a person else a few min. uninstalling MB to install V-ten lol.

In the course of action of testing at a greater level of use. Alittle high priced, but you get what you pay for. Contemplating that it's cooling a 躔 cpu, no wonder it's higher priced.

None genuinely. It doesn't even appear great when you think about it, it's fairly cheesy. This is the initially HSF I've purchased in all my years, that I've ever definitely one hundred% regretted from the start out.- It's major. Yes, this is a tad overdone, and anyone ought to know before they acquire it that it is indeed massive. But it's still a con.- Excellent. Each and every single 1 of my bolts that had been to go by means of the motherboard (first screwing into the bracket) had been threaded fully unique than the actual bracket. I mean, come on. 财 and I can't even get bolts that are threaded correctly?- Cooling. I was capable to get the HSF mounted, and securely. On a i7 920 overclocked to 4ghz (D0 stepping), the final results simply were not that outstanding. Temps never stabilize and when they seem to they often shoot up for tiny to no cause - nearly like the TEC kicks in, but then cuts out later? I don't know, but for 财 I count on additional, considerably more. And I retain my property at no much more than 70F, typically much less (I know, but I like the cold). Putting in it also triggered my motherboard (P6T Deluxe V2) to bend a small bit. Still functions fine, and the bending doesn't bother me genuinely (it's inevitable), but this offset the board off of the situation so much that I couldn't even safe the board in most locations. All in all, I'm RMA'ing it, and not looking back. Heading back to Thermalright (odd that NewEgg doesn't sell any Thermalright at all isn't it? Now I truly have to get in my vehicle and drive.) Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for any inconvenience. The screws in query, as talked about in the manual, thread counter-clockwise. I owned the Ultra ChillTEC Thermoelectric CPU Cooler,Also the Koolance EXOS-2 LX External Water Cooling Kit.This is by far the finest cooling set up i have ever owned.Uncomplicated to install and set up.No worries about filling fluids or leaking like water cooling. The ultra ChillTEC was also an outstanding performer but this kicks it's rear bye far!!!It is incredibly substantial so make confident your case has lots of area.I have the Thermaltake Xaser VI and it fits with a lot of space to spare. Also cools memory on my mobo the Rampage II intense.Recomend this to anybody contemplating water cooling.Cools better than water with no mess or leaks to be concerned about. Also quite inexpencive for the ammount of cooling you get.Aids you in getting capable to overclock your CPU.If your fan dies on the V10 you have the TEC chip for back up also so you will not fry your cpu.In the finish extremely effectively worth it. Not a single point!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do not own a single purchase it now,you will be really pleased with it's functionality.

I'll make this as easy as I can for anybody debating on acquiring this.-Keeps Pc awesome even under extreme overclocking (from 3. to four.3 quad-core GHZ).-Fan goes more than your RAM, maintaining that awesome as well.-Attractive as hell. Black, chrome, red LED's. Epic.-This factor just makes your whole Pc look amazing.-Quiet. Even with a total of 7 fans in my Computer (two 140mm's and two 120mm's in the situation, 120mm from the V10, 120mm from the PSU, and 80mm from the graphics card.) it's nevertheless a single of the a lot more quiet computer systems I've heard. -Price. CPU's normally come with a fan for the processor, so if you're balancing getting this or one thing else, save the money and get one thing else.-It's big. If you don't have a full-size tower, I wouldn't recommend this by any signifies.-It moves tons of air, which implies it's going to move tons of dust as effectively. This issue is a enormous dust collector, so make positive you clean it generally to hold it running smooth. All in all, it's a great obtain if you program to do some overclocking. If you don't strategy on overclocking, stick to your basic coolers and save some money.

My pros and cons are based on what all of you have said. Thank you all! Quite valuable in my selection generating. Based on your evaluations, I decided I'd be far better off just looking for something to cool my RAM; which was my reasoning for searching at this unit in the 1st place. I essentially prefer the V8, looks-wise. And that is almost certainly what I will buy. In the meantime, I'm going with the stock fan and heatsink that came with my i7-975 and a Corsair CMSAFX2 to cool my RAM. I'll read critiques on the Cooler Master V8, and if the critiques are much more favorable, I'll replace my stocker with that. The Corsair RAM fan and a V8 would still be a less expensive remedy than this unit, anyway. ;) Despite the fact that the comments on Cooler Master's customer service leave me cold; no pun intended.

I actually like this factor. It keeps my i7-930 cool even after extended periods of game play and very long Ableton Live sessions. It also cool my memory which allowed me to buy 12gb more affordable OCZ memory rather of 6gb of far more high priced Corsair with the fans I have to get rid of the 220mm side fan on my CosmosS case because it was so big! Also, i am not confident how a lot it matters (there seems to be very good arguments on each sides), but this issue is genuinely, genuinely heavy. I have been thinking of making a crutch for it... na

This product hovers among matching and flat out beating the True 120 Extreme heatsink, which was originally my initially option. Right after having a RAM stick die on me in my first 24 hours (which I swapped out for a new one particular), I wanted anything that would deal with the elevated heat of an overclocked CPU while not ignoring the demands of ever expanding heat on my Corsair RAM sticks. The result: 35C to 40C through normal Pc use although my Core i7 920 is sitting at a extremely cool 4.2Ghz. On max load (stress testing via the implies of Hyper-Pi) my CPU didn't budge past 54C and the RAM never ever had any concerns like the first time around. This is item is far more than a CPU cooler, it is a RAM cooler as properly and it has just sufficient room to accommodate the bigger heat sinks of the Corsair Dominator series. With a correct install and some decent thermal paste, this puppy will do tricks all day and by no means ask for a factor in return. So far, it has only amplified the voice in the back of my head to push my CPU tougher... But at four.2Ghz on a 2.67Ghz chip I have no cause to do so. I would advise this to any person who is overclocking their CPU, this unit is perfectly silent but it is no exactly where near the raging 120MM fan I had in my old Computer's Tuniq Tower 120.If you want the further push and to not have to be concerned as substantially about your RAM and value is not a aspect (and water is as well high priced or as well demanding on maintenance desires) then this is your cooler proper here.

Has not damaged my motherboard through transportation of the machine, makes it possible for adequate clearance to install and uninstall RAM underneath it. TEC will not enable till your CPU reaches a high temp. I had my Phenom II 955 at 4GHz, but it would randomly crash. I had to downclock to stock, as I could not overclock and test with no overheating the chip and waiting for it to cool down, so there is no way to know if you are going to have a *STABLE* overclock until its also late. The factor with the Phenom II procs is they like cold much more than voltage, so proper up till the TEC actually turns on, the processor is about as stable as a blindfolded drunk driver going the incorrect way in the middle of new york city... Does everyone know how to trick the TEC to be on all the time?
