Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan

Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan
Cons:Terrible design, plastic broke off while trying to screw the bolts and the fan motor/bearings arrived very audibly squeaky even when spinning the fan when disconnected.
Pros:Very quiet for the amount of air it moves Comment:
Bought this from NCIX's warehouse sale for $7.50. Not sure if it was because it was open box and someone returned it for the cons I posted above, or if it was actually a defective unit. Perhaps I received a lemon, but either way it says something about the reliability of these fans and the strange silicon built-in grommet-like things. |

Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan

Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan
Cons:- On the expensive side.
Pros:- Almost completely silent.- Rubber grommets on holes.- Fits where others might not.- Includes 3 to 4 pin adapter.- Colored rings are nifty. Comment:
I mounted this as the top exhaust in a Lian Li PC-8FIB case. Immediately afterwards I mounted an Antec Kuhler 920 at the rear and I honestly don't think I would have been able to fit it in if it hadn't been for the shape of this 140mm fan. There is only half a millimeter of clearance between the two when fully secured, which thankfully means they won't cause any vibrational buzzing noises from rubbing against one another (that sounded kinky lol). The rubberized holes for screws (heh) are a really nice touch and work well with my case which already uses rubber grommets everywhere to reduce noise (none were included by Lian Li for the exhaust). The grill that goes on the exhaust is pretty restrictive since it has very tiny holes, but airflow seems to be alright based on holding my hand over the hole while this fan is running, which it does silently. I can only hear it when my ear is right next to it. Just a quiet hiss with no buzzing or clicking that I can detect. The only thing that would make this fan better is higher RPM's and include a 7 volt adapter to run at 1150 RPM's. The color rings are an interesting touch, but not really necessary IMHO. |

Cons:bit pricy for 1 fan

Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan
Cons:- needs to be slowed down to be actually silent
Pros:- customizable colors- moves a lot of air Comment:
Good build quality, the accent rings can be easily snapped in/out. Some people might want a larger choice of colors (only blue, white and red are included), but in my case I will probably only ever use blue or white, so that's plenty enough. Performance wise, it does its job well, although I haven't tried a lot of 140 mm fans so I can't really compare. |

Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 140MM 1150RPM 67.8CFM 24DBA Airflow Cooling Fan
Cons:- Removal of replacable colored rings- Product packaging is an overkill; a definete retail eye-candy; for DIY the fan packaging is a pointless overkill and a waste
Pros:- Aestheticly pleasing (use of replaceable colored rings)- Solid fan body construction- Rubber-lined mouting holes Comment:
- Mounted as top exhaust as a pair in Corsair's Carbide 500R, very happy with the product. It is always a pleasent experience when you get a product you were expecting with a performance to match. |
je suis content de mon achat en général, malgré mon événement, j'ai recollé la piéce brisé.
