1000 Watts!! What more can I say. This power provide is so quiet. This has been my first modular PSU and have to say that I am by no means going back. appreciate the set up and I adore corsairs product help. general a great PSU None so far. not really a con but might bring about complications for some. The fan on the unit is seriously huge (good factor) but it is situated on the bottom/top of the PSU rather of at the back like most other people. |

Cons:Reliability!
Pros:Excellent, when it works. Comment:
Don't know if it's just bad luck, but the first one only lasted a week. NCIX's RMA process was awesome though! BUT the replacement just died today! I shut down the computer through normal Windows shutdown, go to turn it back on and NO POST. I don't have any heavy load, maybe 600 watts of total load. Single video card etc. I really like Corsair branded components but this is giving me doubts on this model. Hopefully Corsair will replace with something different and more reliable. Strike 2 in 2 months, Yikes! |

Trustworthy for a year. Used this to replace a defunct Corsair 850W that couldn't deal with my program. Did the job properly. Modular cables good as nicely. Just died within 9 months of installation. Not pleased |

Quiet and stable power delivery, that's sufficient! It goes further to be packaged beautifully (trademark of this fine power supply manufacturer) and have plenty of cable connection possibilities without becoming a tangled mess. It is bigger than a typical PSU... but if you're getting a unit to give a kilowatt of juice to your system, hopefully you know sufficient about what you're doing that this isn't news to you. I've been a loyal Corsair client for years, their PSUs are fairly, reliable, and reasonably priced -- I haven't noticed any other producers come close in the final 5 years. |

Performed as advertized, powered 6 sata drives and 2 cd drives. High finish graphics and i7 with no trouble. Power supply crackled, popped, and caught fire following billowing smoke. Could have burned my property down if I wasn't in the room. Fortunately it only destroyed my ssd. I contacted corsair for an RMA. I'l see what they do for me... Manufacturer Response:Please advise Consumer Service that you will need to send the unit to us for failure analysis. We'd surely like to take a appear at that unit and see what happened. We are quite sorry you had this issue.External Link(s): Corsair Make contact with Page| |

Corsair CMPSU-1000HX 1000W ATX 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply
Cons:- Modular cables are flat ribbon style, harder to bend.- Ferric noise filters increase bend radius- Very long PSU, check your case. May block fan intakes.
Pros:- Powerful- Quiet- Plenty of modular cables included Comment:
The HX1000W I purchased based on Corsair's reputation and also many different reviews from the internet. My opinion matches - great product, quiet and plenty powerful. Be advised however, the PSU is quite long and may end up blocking fan intakes on the bottom of your case. As well, this length may blocks out some of the side cable entry ports on the mobo-tray. (I have a CM690II)Cables w/ ferric adapters are great, but keep in mind they will slightly increase your bend radius, so if you have long video cards with connectors in the front/on the side, be careful. |

Cons:First one died on 3rd POST, but since it was a NCIX build machine RMA took one day , great support
Pros:quiet , lots of power , as long its not DOA Comment:
I went for new system and with a full tower Thermaltake case I will have a lot of hard drives ( non SSD) so want to make sure I have power for them and eventually a Crossfire set up. Had my fun with OCZ so went Corsair this time and hope the first DOA unit was just a fluke |

Fantastic PSU while it lasted It failed for no cause -- Currently on RMA with Corsair I've been a Corsair fanboi for a though now, nevertheless I think I'm going to stay away from Corsair from now on.I've had to play Musical RAM with the Corsair Dominators in the past Ɠ bad batches of RAM in a row...) But I had a amazing 750watt TX PSU that I sold and upgraded to this one (the 1000watt HX)That now failed on me, ram that has failed on me multiple occasions... I don't call this premium service or premium hardware.I also have the Corsair H50 CPU Cooler and so far it's operating just fine *Crosses Fingers*Other peoples experiences are fine, some terrible, mine are mixed. I've just had nothing but problems out of a majority of there merchandiseI'm sticking with somebody else |

Its a corsair power provide, there is absolutely nothing but very good items to say. They just don't exist. They guy who bought this when the promotion was a บ rebate, and is bashing Corsair for not giving him a different ฮ on top of it when they provided a ุ rebate, it's not Corsair's dilemma that you wish you had waited to buy it for a better deal. They offer you promotions. . . PERIOD. Feel of all the folks who pay for it full cost, THAT'S THE Whole POINT OF PROMOTIONS! Attempting to get on em when they are readily available, you missed the boat, it's your fault, CORSAIR's client service, and support forums are A1. |

When it worked, great. Modular cables had been wonderful. I was able to use less and less cables, exceptional. Nicely, began to have random shut downs. Then when I tried to power on, it would turn on the fans, and then loop itself, trying to start out but failing. Put in old Cooler Master 850W, Computer working fine. So, negative PSU. DO NOT CUT UPC BAR AND Anticipate AN RMA. I never knew this, and cut UPC bar off for rebate. On the other hand, newegg still let me RMA. Wow, newegg is the very best, even though it expense me ฬ for shipping. Oh properly, you still rock newegg. |

Worked fantastic for 1 year on a personal computer that was used for gaming maby 3 times a month. 5 year warranty Is grate. Lasted only 1 year just stoped operating no warnings, I bought 2 of them the other is still working thats why I gave it three rating. Would be good if they could send me a new one particular so I could send the broken one back in the similar box and not wait two weeks with out a PSU. |

What Pro can you believe of when the unit fails and causes harm to your hardware? I bought three of these units in the past 2 years, all 3 have now failed. The most recent last Ɠrd 1 now) was last week. The power supplies are in 3 distinct systems in different places/power sources/systems. I honestly think Corsair has turn into one of the many that are living off a brand name construct up of a time far in the past. Their excellent is worse than the lowest bidder, but they charge much more. I stopped purchasing their memory for the similar cause. Remain away. Rip off alert. |

This energy supply is fantastic for custom Computer builders. It has the scalability to future proof your method for other devices. Flat cables are a plus much easier for side case cable management. Modular power supply, user capability to choose and choose what you want to go into your case. Very quite. Rather a bit of reviews state this energy provide is essentially putting out additional than 1000W. 5 YEAR Restricted WARRANTY!!! Minor in my scenario, but the depending on the case you have and how you want to run your cable management you may need to have a 24 Pin and 8 Pin Extension to reach your mobo for bottom installs. Same goes for the peripherals. Plan out your build and you will have absolutely nothing to be concerned about. I am impressed with the 5 year limited warranty. I have owned mine considering that 12 and it failed on me just lately I spent seriously about three minutes on their web page going by means of the steps of an RMA and they responded in much less than 1 hour with confirmation and directions for the RMA. We all know RMA is no fun, but Corsair has it down pat when standing by their item!!! |

Lots of power for a fantastic price from a good manufacturer of PSUs...this one came packed really nicely from mfr (and Newegg). TONS of modular cables, and the small pouch makes it very straightforward organize and shop spare cables. The cable lengths are incredibly very good for the most portion. Cable run for mobo power was a little bit short (big case, bottom mounted PSU) but not a big deal, just ran the extension cable from my chassis mfr. A very simple to setup and use PSU!I almost certainly don't need all this power, but this way i stay farily upgrade proof. |

pretty strong and sturdy power supply. a litte more power than i needed but provides you lots of headroom for upgrading in the future. being modular helped out alot in my mid case. lots of connections come with it, i mean alot. high excellent psu and connections, psu that came in my alienware looked reall inexpensive sitting beside this. cant say there is anything i didnt like about this psu, even so i was quite irritated when five days right after i bought it the rebate on newegg went from บ to a ุ rebate. asked corsair if they would be good to very first time buyer and modify it and got a "oh incredibly sorry i cant do anything about this sir".. rather they wanted me to go via returning it and rebuying??? so my cons are with the consumer help. there are a bunch of brands that make fantastic solutions so buyer suport should be what separates them. had to check on rebate status no email sent, a tiny communication would be good.recently bought an alienware aurora desktop and upgraded the graphics card in it to a gtx 480 so went with this beast to power it all. sits differently compared to the oem psu but does its job very well keeping my computer operating.existing setup:i7-920 liquid cooledEVGA gtx 480 oc'dnvidia 240 gt oc'd9Gb tri-channel ddr3 1333Mhzseagate cuda 750Gb
