Cons:The ssd cages were hard to remove and did obstruct the back of the board somewhat for installation of a large backplate although it was doable. Since the standard hard drive sits on the bottom of the case and there is no sound padding there, having it on my desk makes a rumble sound at times.
Pros:Easy to get everything installed. Cabling was especially good and easy to do. Love the rubber for the pass thru for wires. The result post wiring was clean on both sides without messing around as I would usually have to do. Air flow is excellent. Lots of room in there and I run dual video cards and found it Being as lightweight as it is, I can easily move it and I can keep it on top of my desk instead of on the floor. Nice size opening for cpu so mounting the cpu cooler was a snap.Love the auto connect for the standard hard drive. The case was very well thought out to ensure best airflow. |

Cons:It could use a couple more 3.5" bays.Front 140mm fans are a little louder than I had hoped for.
Pros:Great air flow. Lot's of room to work, Easy to do a really clean looking build.Liberal use of thumbs screws mean you don't "need" a screwdriver.Light weight if you want to take it with you to a LAN party.Lot's of room for water cooling if you're so inclined. Comment:
The front 140mm fans are a little louder than I had hoped they'd be but they do move a lot of air. My graphics cards have never been so happy hehe... As mentioned in the Pros section, the case is surprisingly light weight but there is a tradeoff. The AIR 540 is a little flimsy in some respects. The side panels for instances are quite thin and flex easily. These are things I'm willing to sacrifice for the light weight so I personally don't consider them cons. Sadly the side window seems to scratch fairly easily. I had mine off and my 4 year old daughter accidentally knocked it over and it bumped my subwoofer (the cloth front panel of it) and got a small rub mark/scratch as a result. But for this I would have given a full 5 stars.I've seen some reports of vibration noise, but I haven't experienced anything like that. Everything is solid and no unwanted sounds coming from my case.I was hesitant to get the white version of this case but I'm glad I did. I really like the white/black combination and corsair did a nice job of matching the white paint with the white plastic parts. Overall this is a great case but it's not quite perfect, that said, I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. |
Really a great case. I had a full size beast before that looked full despite intensive time spent on cable management. This one is amazing for size and fit, easily move all my components. It was actually harder to get everything out of the old case then to install in the new. I highly recommend this case!
