Corsair Flash Voyager CMFVY3S-16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:no tether on the cap,
Pros:great small but not to small usb drive good price though the 32 gt can be had on Comment:
use to back up / transfer photos from my laptop to workstation regularly transferring 16g of raw/tiff photos on and off it with no problems. also have transfer 12gb mkv files with no problem bough on sale for a great price. good rubber coating looks a little tacky but gives the impression that it will absorb impact / where well. cap stays on well but would like a tether on it all the same, no loss of stars though since most drives are like that. finding it a little small for me but i have shot 60g worth of photos in a weekend, still great dive for pulling movies of the work station to htpc/laptop though |

Corsair Flash Voyager CMFVY3S-16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:None so far.
Pros:Rubber casing over USB connection is good. Comment:
Works good, only transferred small files so far, so I haven't tested the limits of the device. I also don't have USB3.0 so I couldn't test that, but worked perfectly with in USB2.0It worked out of the box. I liked the rubber protection piece that covers the USB end of the device versus other retracable solutions. Rubberized exterior makes for nice gribbing. |

Corsair Flash Voyager CMFVY3S-16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:The cap is not attached to the key.
Pros:Good capacityRobust Comment:
This is the second flash drive of the "Voyager" series that I bought, first one was USB 2. I appreciate the robustness of these drives. They also offer good capacity. As for the USB 3 capacity, I could not test it because my computer only has USB 2 support... :-( |

Corsair Flash Voyager CMFVY3S-16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Can't hit superspeed
Pros:Good price, USB 3.0, Comment:
I might not know much about USB, but I looked up the specified speeds and I'm not getting anything close to that. I also checked the write speeds using my USB 2.0 port compared to the USB 3.0 port and they were identical. I thought write speeds were supposed to increase. I guess it could be something with my motherboard (MSI 870A-G54). |

Corsair Flash Voyager CMFVY3S-16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Ruggedness (don't use with keys and be cautious about it bending at all while inserted).
Pros:Speed, value. Comment:
Excellent speed on this drive. Used only by 2.0, but read speeds were great. Maxed out 2.0 connection anyways. Write speed around 20mb/s i believe. My only problem was I used this drive with a small set of keys attached. For most uses, great value for 3.0 and 16gb.What I don't like...It's not very rugged. the thick rubber coating would have you think otherwise. however, I used this attached to my set of keys. I've done so the same way with my datatraveler for the last 2 years. After 2 weeks of use, the drive will not longer work. Here's why. The square connection plug is soldered directly to the PCB. This is the only way the end is secured. The whole PCB and plug are then fairly loosely wrapped in the rubber. IE. you can peel back the rubber to see a portion of the PCB. Long story short, the lack of support for the metal end resulted in the connection to the PCB breaking after minimal use. Will be looking to a more rugged design. Hopefully I can return or at least get RMA'd. |
Getting great speeds, about 15-20 mb/s write . These are cheaper and faster than some other USB3 drives. I like the rubber on the drive, but Corsair should have designed a cap holder on it, I nearly lost the cap twice.
