Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Comment:
can turn up loud, and the manage unit is fairly good. has three inputs- one on the back of the manage unit (mini plug style), and 2 on the back of the sub (one mini plug, one particular rca style). satellite speakers arn't also large and are 2 way. for the cost, i expected far far more sound high quality. the high range was mediocre at greatest, in particular considering that the speakers are 2 way (each containing a tweeter and midrange). i have heard ๠ bookshelf speakers with far better clarity. you can only adjust subwoofer level- not the higher range which is reserved for a preset eq. for pc speakers, they are ok, but i have observed computer speakers for much less than half the price tag with much better sound. this seems to be built for volume, not excellent. possibly corsair ought to have consulted some correct audiophiles and professionals to make this. if all you want is loud volume, then these are your way overpriced choice. i tried just about every type of music (including games) and i just was unimpressed. confident it's fantastic sound, but not wonderful. commit half the price tag and get anything just as great. Manufacturer Response:This review is surprising and incredibly disappointing to us. According to several independent reviewers, including HardOCP, Optimum Pc, Hardware Heaven, et al we have produced an outstanding set of speakers that carry out vastly distinct from what you have described. My only conclusion is you ought to have gotten a poor unit. Please enable us to recover it so that we can analyze the entire unit and see what has occurred here. We take evaluations like this incredibly seriously and of course we will replace your set also. Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Comment:
For their size... they sound okay. But they are smaller than i expected. The tweeters on the speakers can hit max volume and get quite loud devoid of breaking a sweat. The sound stage is quite good, thanks to the very good tweeters. The sub feels Fairly solid... but pretty light-weight overall... Which implies it's not packing substantially in the way of a solid driver/magnetSub is constructed from MDF, not plastic.. which is very good. It sounds Extremely Quite hollow and boxy. The sub sounds wimpy... I just about believed it was broken.... I turned up the sub in the controls... and it was incredibly boomy (not a fantastic thing).. it lacked a lot of defined punch. The sub used in my 10 year old logitech speakers sounds considerably much better. The small speakers also did a pretty crumby job re-creating any sort of very good mids... causing everything to lack any kind of fantastic tonal worth. They are just Also smaller... The whole method just felt really cheap and wimpy when you take it out of the box... and it produces a sound like you would count on... Sure they can get incredibly loud.... but only in a extremely hollow sort of way. They just aren't worth the asking cost. I sort of get what Corsair was going for when they created the technique. It feels like they attempted to take a incredibly straight-forward.. albeit cheap tactic to designing the method. It's like the designers had a quite strict budget on the pricing of components and did the best they could with what they had... But you can get a pair of M-Audio BX5A powered desktop bookshelf speakers for a tiny bit more... and the bass, mids and highs will blow the corsair out of the water... Without having a sub. Or even get the M-Audio AV40s for substantially less and still get superior sound. Audioengine A2s are a lot far better sounding and expense only 赨... If you compare these to other much more effectively identified Computer desktop speakers.. they sound quite excellent... but it's the speakers from M-Audio, AudioEngine... businesses who release SOLID bookshelf style desktop speakers... these are the organizations Corsair really should be searching at to beat. These are just as well considerably for also small.

Amazing bass, mids, and highs. These are the best speakers for Pc given that the Z-5500. Exceptional high quality just like almost everything Corsair tends to make. I tested, purchased and returned several setups only to pick this 1. You must have a very good sound card for to make these shine. I have the X-Fi Titanium and this setup thumps. Gaming is basically awesome! Listening to iTunes or Pandora is awesome! Purchase this now. You will not be sorry. None so far. Couple this with a high finish soundcard for best final results.

Cons:base

Pros:sound quality (high and mids)built quality
Comment:
Had this system for a while now and I am very pleased with it. it's rock solid; I was moving and accidentally dropped the box with the speakers, some paint chipped off but the sound is still crystal clear. System comes with quality cables yet they could be a little longer. The satellite speakers are amazing, very clear sound even at high volume. My only disappointment is the base, it has a huge 8'' sub but the only way to hear it is to crank the master volume almost to the max which makes it not a true 2.1 system. I would greatly recommend if you want good sound quality but don't like too much base. If you like lot's of boomy base this system is not for you.

Mid and tweet's come alive with these. Bass is kinda weak for hole big the box is but for the bass you do have is solid and sounds great. No crossover adjust or acquire on the mid or tweet control. Would acquire once more very best pc speaker i have heard but.

They appear nice. Sound is okay, wants far more midrange. The controller display died after only a couple of weeks. Now it's just an led light with no details on it. The sub woofer is big but the sound is not. I had it turned all the way up, back when I could tell what the settings had been, and it was barely noticeable. I had to use the AC97 equalizer software program to get a decent bass response out of it. Frankly, for the amount of money I payed, I expected a lot more. I wouldn't recommend these speakers until they get the kinks worked out.

1) Newegg Shipping—FAST three DAYS𔃊) This system is packaged properly. This is a good “plus” to the end user.3) Easy set up. Simple to comply with directions.4) Included “angled” stands are efficient.five) I am very happy with the excellent of sound from this method. With games I hear sounds that I have by no means heard ahead of. Music is warm and wealthy with vocals.6) If you are like myself and can\'t tolerate headphones for any length of time, this is the method to obtain. Thanks Corsair.7) I’m waiting for Corsair to market a five.1 system as effectively. Unfortunately, you have to own/purchase a good top quality sound card for this system to shine. That is “NOT” a fault of Corsair manufacturing, it’s more of a truism for great sound from a Pc. The critiques that compare this 2.1 program as well bookshelf speakers are not fair. Bookshelf speakers require an amp, are drastically bigger, and require a lot more distance separation than this system. Of course one particular could generally point to one thing much better, but for the desk footprint, and the expense of getting an amp and “good” bookshelf speakers vs. the value of this Corsair two.1 system, IMO this 2.1 program completely ROCKS.This system at its base cost is really the “new leader” when compared to its competitors. I’ve read the evaluations essential of the value, yet Newegg’s pricing combined with Corsair’s rebates tends to make this method economical to just about everyone. Thanks Newegg for supplying this product at the price I was in a position to purchase it at.

I really like the subwoofer...excellent bass sound. I am an audiophile. Highly proposed. None, extremely advised. Overall I'm very happy with these speakers as I used these to replace my Logitech z5500. The difference is night and day. If you are only a bass junky and don't care about all the mid and high ranges then get the z5500 for a 5.1 system. On the other hand if you do care about mid / high and great bass then get Sp2500. With the Sp2500 I was able to hear alot of things which I couldn't with my z5500.

Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Comment:
Speakers have great heft, sound good, have fantastic equalizer presets, my preferred of which is the "action gaming" preset. I watched Tron Legacy on Blu-Ray with these speakers and enjoyed the complete audio quality Blu-Ray has to offer on these speakers. Enough base to really feel all the thunderous effects, and adequate midrange / treble to get the full sense of the sound stage. The speakers aren't 5.1, but I favor two.1 sets, so that is not an concern for me. Speakers aren't THX certified - even though I can envision if they were tested, they'd pass. Input switching is a bit clunky. Several input speakers are usually 'all inputs reside at all instances' - these speakers may possibly be greater for actual input switching, I just wish there was a button or buttons to easily / rapidly switch inputs. There are tiny noises when altering the volume on the control pod, not static from contacts, but a strange noise as you adjust volume. You have to listen incredibly closely to notice, and it's a single of those issues that is possibly simple to ignore - offered the static laden Logitechs I sent back in lieu of this set, it's a extremely minor quibble. The clunkiness of the input switching is all I dinged this set for. Otherwise, I am completely pleased with this product.

This set of speakers is amazing. Quite heavy duty, and you can tell the manufacture spent some high quality time on these speakers! Now for all you non-audio junkies out there who are debating to make the switch like I did, DO IT!!! You hear so much additional, especailly at the higher volumes. Just in case you want to give it a test drive, I suggest you couple these speakers with the Asus Essence STX Audiofile Sound card, this combo is the ideal audio bliss knowledge I had hoped for! None, JUST Buy THEM NOW!!! This is for the manufacture. The only request I have that is not a con for me, but could be in the future is the cord length. I know there in the functions, but do you have an ETA? Other than that my hats off to you for truly designing a 100% consumer certified KICK A speaker system!

Clean, high-fidelity audio. Subwoofer throws out lows comparable to units from a lot more high priced systems. Use of ATX4 cables for satellites is innovative. ATX4 cables are a bit brief. My Klipsch Promedia 4.1's subwoofer began failing not too long ago following 8 years. I had heard about Corsair's new system and decided give it a attempt and I'm glad I did. The method produces exceptional audio in games, music, and videos. I also dig the volume manage unit which attributes a mini-USB connector for updating its firmware. The ATX4 cables are a little brief at 6 feet but they get the job performed. I've read that Corsair is arranging to release 8 foot cables which I hope will be cost-free for those of us that currently bought the system. That stated I heartily suggest Corsair's new surround speaker set to anyone looking for the best two.1 experience for the Pc. And to those who say it's too pricey I say get over it: you get what you pay for.

If you like loud bass this is worth every penny. This is the first 2.1 speakers i've ever invested in with my own money. I've only owned 2.0 and i thought they were decent. I've been using 2.0s for about a decade now.. and this just blows it out of the water. I imagine putting this in my car haha!anyways, these speakers are super thumbs up. If you've got the money, go for it. It's worth every penny. I have been using them for about 24 hours, and they're making me cry cause they sound so good. Bass levels for Action movies are great, Songs with lots of bass are the best of i've heard, and i havent tried gaming yet. But i dont think they'll let me down.

None. Whilst I am far from an audiophile I discovered these speakers to be unacceptable. Making use of a HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card they create a sound top quality below that of a 5 year old set of Logitech speaker making use of on board sound. Employing the Logitech speakers with the Omega Striker card produced a amazing sound. When the Corsair speakers had been paired with the on board sound the good quality decreased further. While my choice of sound card may well have been inappropriate for these speakers I expected a lot more for the price. Although I will continue to study these speakers to see if the terrible sound is due to (my)human error or if this is basically a negative product for pc audio. It is important to point out that the build high quality of this product is superb even for the value with the exception of the remote, it feels like a 99 cent toy compared to the rest. The sub-woofer is Quite significant, be prepared. Manufacturer Response:Please make contact with our Tech Assistance. We'll be pleased to help you.External Link(s): Corsair Get in touch with Page|

Lets begin with the way these speakers look. They have smooth lines and a excellent color mix on the satilites. The sub is very significant for gaming speakers, but it is quite well built. Now moving onto on the sound of the speakers. The sound top quality on the vocals is incredibly impressive. I have in no way heard such crisp sounds come out of speakers that are labeled "Gaming Speakers" Watching films or playing games, these speakers will let you to hear every single bullet, voice, or moth fart if needed. The sub puts out impressive bass, with out any rattleing out of the housing. Though watching action movies you can really feel every single gun shot. "See Cons" Now whilst the sub is massively powerful. There is a slight distortion when playing heavy bass club music. The sub puts out clear crisp bass although at lower levels, but as soon as you turn up the woffer you can hear the distortion with in the box. I am not an audio engineer so I can not clarify in deital what is wrong with the sub. But as soon as the sub is maxxed out and you throw some low thumping bass notes at it, the sound is not as clear as you would expect from gaming speakers at this price. But other than this dilemma, these are the best 2.1 gaming speakers that I have ever owned.
