Corsair Professional HX850W 850W ATX 12V 70A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply Active PFC 140mm Fan
Cons:- none

Pros:- the non-modular cables are few in count and are necessary for any system build- excellent build quality, as expected from Corsair- good quality sleeving, though there is room for improvement- an abundance of extra cables- unexpected, but the cables came in a neat little pouch- gotta love that 'new PSU smell' ;)
Comment:
I had faith in Corsair when they first launched their HS1A headset, though it disappointed me in the end. I did not give up, and now they're selling some of the most well built products in the industry. I am extremely pleased with this purchase ($159) and look forward to seeing new releases from Corsair in the future.

Corsair Professional HX850W 850W ATX 12V 70A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply Active PFC 140mm Fan
Cons:That short 8 pin PCIE power cable and no included extension. On my HAFX tower and Sabertooth, it just fits, running over the top of the videocard and looking stupid.

Pros:Mine has been sitting mostly in a box for a long time. I just put it into a system and all is fine. Basically what everyone else said about build quality, noise and performance....
Comment:
I just built a new system with a new but "old stock" PS. If I'd taken trouble to read reviews, I'd have ordered an extension for the 8 pin cable... My problem...I've had a lot of good luck with all kinds of Corsair PSU's and have a lot of faith in them. Out of curiosity, I dug up the invoice for my "spare" PSU bought on sale in Jan 2011 - $169.00 on sale then. It appears that decent PSU's hold their price pretty well compared to most other components..
