Corsair Professional Series Gold HX750 750W ATX Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold Power Supply PFC 140mm Fan
Cons:Fan can get loud when under load
Pros:Looks good, works well. Comment:
Works great for a 750W Gold PSU.Very well package, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the contents. Partially modular, the 24Pin and the 8Pin are connected to the body of the PSU. The fan is off until under load so you'll never hear it unless you're overclocking and/or using two graphics cards. |

Corsair Professional Series Gold HX750 750W ATX Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold Power Supply PFC 140mm Fan
Cons:the revision of this PSU I received has the modular ports very low to the base of my computer case such that I could not mount a fan (only a very slim profile fan) at the bottom of my corsair 550D case.Coil Whine, when the computer is OFF!!! It is very noticeable and changes pitch depending on whether the internet cable is connected to my motherboard or not.Fluttering sound to the PSU fan.
Pros:modular Comment:
Very dissatisfied with this PSU. Because of NCIX's return policy it made more sense for me to RMA it through Corsair. I did, but they send me a worse HX750 (the newer revision actually has better placed modular ports, allowing a fan to be mounted alongside it in the corsair 550d case) with a grinding fan (gets worse with slight adjustments to the power cable) that is ALWAYS on (the HX750 fan is supposed to turn on only when the temperatures are hot) and double boot (causes my system to boot for 2 seconds, shut down and wait for 3 seconds, then boot up aagin). So I also have to RMA the RMA. Corsair customer service is top notch, so no complaints there and they even waived the shipping for me. however, I would recommend going for the AX series over this, too many lemons with the HX750. |

Corsair Professional Series Gold HX750 750W ATX Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold Power Supply PFC 140mm Fan
Cons:This is not a fully modular PSU as advertised. Longer than a standard ATX PSU
Pros:80 plus gold and modular. Comment:
Solid PSU, very wel built. Two things to watch out for:1. NOT fully modular, it is semi modular. I purchased this PSU thinking it as fully modular.2. Watch out for the length, it is longer than a standard ATX PSU i had to mod my case so it would fit.All in all I am happy with this PSU it runs very quiet and is well built. The only reasons I had Problems with this PSU is that i am building a HTPC and have very limited room to work with. In a full size case would have no problems at all. |
The cables are really high quality and flexible. It isn't that loud and there's a 7 year warranty so it's going to last a while. The only problem I had with this product is that the holes don't fit properly with the Corsair Carbide 400r case. I can only manage to screw in 2 of the screws as they do not align properly.
