Corsair VS2GB800D2 PC2-6400 2GB 1X2GB DDR2-800 CL5 204PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:
No heatsinks
Pros: Value ram... Cheap, but does what it should.Decently overclocks. Comment:
Put into spare PC i use for linux route and web server. Was able to clock the ram up to 1200mhz, but it overheated pretty quickly.I keep it now at 866mhz with 3-3-3-12 timmings. (Stock is 800n5-5-5-18) with stock voltage. If this ram had a heatsink, i'm sure i'd be able to get 1200mhz out of it, But alas, i got what i paid for.Still, i'm very impressed with what it can do as value ram. |

NICe for the Price
Comment:
I work for a big electronics company and we sell this exact same ram, I get an awesome discount but got it cheaper off here than from my work. Good ram for the price my desktop is very fast |
I have an old computer which has 2G Kingston 800MHz DDR2 CL5 RAM. I want to upgrade it to 4G, but I couldn't find this module on the market anymore. A similar one available from Kingston has a CAS Latency of 6 cycles (CL6) instead of 5.So, I go for this RAM module, and it seems to be a perfect match to the old Kingston module. Now, I'm running them on a RAM timing of 5-5-5-18 without any problem.
