Corsair Value Select Apple PC2-5300 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-667 CL4 Low Latency 200PIN SODIMM Mac Memory
Cons:none
Pros:Fast, easy to install, compatible Comment:
I recently installed this on my Early 2008 Apple Macbook Pro which came with 2GB of RAM. This 4GB low latency kit works like a charm! It is very fast and really improved my performance, especially in applications like Garage Band and Photoshop. And the price is very reasonable as well - makes it not worth purchasing from US retailers. |

Corsair Value Select Apple PC2-5300 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-667 CL4 Low Latency 200PIN SODIMM Mac Memory
Cons:- none
Pros:- cost (rebate makes this well worth it)- speed (CL4 faster than CL5) Comment:
With the rebate and the speed boost using CL4 instead of CL5 latency, this memory is a no-brainer. The "MAC memory" label just means that is will work with your MAC, not that there is anything otherwise special about it. My MacBook can take anything I throw at it now with 4GB of memory. |
I've bought this memory for my MacBook Core2 Duo(bought in 2007). The machine came with 1gb installed and is upgradable up to 2gb. Mac Os detect the 4gb but i've read it can only use around 3gb. Once booted in WinXP, my computer tells me it has like 2.97gb of memory. For the price, its even cheaper than buying a set of ordinary 2gb. Can't beat that, under 35$ if the mail-in rebate works.
