I bought this refurb unit only to get a lower price with a rebate, which I still have not received. The contacts silde out but do not lock, so it is hard to use. Sometimes it is not recognized by the computer even when the contacts are extended fully. A first-quality unit of a different brand was only about two dollars more and it works fine. |

Poor Design.

It works very well if you can insert it into your computer. It has a very badly designed slide lock that won't stay out. You can find much better for the $19 price. |
I ordered this for a very specific purpose, as a low-profile flash drive for a photoslide show on a Blu-Ray player. (I have it mounted in the front and the player is in a cabinet. If you are going to be transfering data regularly and inserting a lot, you may want to stick with a regular USB flash drive. The connectors are exposed, it will fit in upside down and it is a little touchy.
