Creative Labs Sound Blaster ZX PCIe Sound Card Retail
Cons:-none

Pros:-sound quality-looks nice-separate headphone ports-acm module-optical ports
Comment:
I love this card i actualy routs the ps3's audio through my pc becasue it sounds way better. Also, it make my headphones come alive with its a headphone amp. I use a pair of Sennheiser hd 558's without the headphone amp in this card they lack in the bass department. Also, I use the acm module to comtol the volume of my headphones.

Cons:-Bright red led lighting on card may not be to everyone's liking-No mute switch on control module for built-in mic

Pros:-Great sound quality-Control Module-Headphone Amp-Headphone Surround-Easy to use software with good features
Comment:
This card gave me a noticable jump in sound quality and bass response over my on board audio. It has extra emphasis on headphone usage which is great. The headphone amp is powerful and has it's own dedicated port unlike on many other sound cards. Through the software it also gives you virtual surround sound for movies and games that is quite effective and immersive. I elected to go this route with on-board surround so I can use any higher quality headphones of my choice instead of buying a specific gaming surround headset. The software is easy to use and has good features. Aside from the surround sound I found the "crystal voice" setings for the microphone to be very effective in getting rid of echo/noise and cleaning up the mic audio to a crystal clear state. The desktop control module feels like good quality. It gives you volume control as well as a built in mic and 2 sets/sizes of headphone/mic jacks. It would be nice if it had a mute switch on it to disable it's own built-in mic which is always on. Instead you have to mute in software which is a little more cumbersome (or plug in a different mic/headset with it's own mute control). There is bright red led lighting on the card itself. If you have a windowed case or a different color scheme going on this may not be to your liking. All in all the card installed easy and has been working great with no major complaints.

Comment:
Decided to upgrade from onboard audio so I grabbed the new Soundblaster card.Everything works great so far, and coupled with my new Sennheiser headphones my games and music have come alive.
