Good sound. Decent base.But they are not really surround speakers. They are stereo speakers and they have a software option using EAX to emulate surround sound.

The plastic feels a little thin but seems sturdy after a period of use. I still am careful to not get too rough with them. The cans are nice on the ears and the padding is very comfortable. Unforunately the head band seems a little short and can cause some discomfort on your head. I place the head band farther back on my head to the point where my head starts to slope to my back (or the back of your head). For some I would say the bald spot on us men.. LOL The mic is very nice and picks up sounds very well. The XFi chipset in the usb plug of the cord works great and sounds awesome. If you buy these for use on a mac, please be aware that there are no drivers for the XFI chip. They still work but you do not get the enhanced audio. Though, on the mac they still sound great.
