Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1X8GB PCI-12800 DDR3-1600 1.5V CL9 Single Memory Module
Cons:none
Pros:cheap after PMheat spread for better protection Comment:
This ram had great value for the price I paid. It runs at 1600MHz, and has a heat spread over the chips. I got this ram for $35 after PM in early January. I wish I have bought more of it because of today's surging ram price. |

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1X8GB PCI-12800 DDR3-1600 1.5V CL9 Single Memory Module
Cons:I doesn't do 2400MHz?
Pros:Good overclocker for a budget 8GB module. Does 1866 e 9-9-9-27-2T at default voltage. Comment:
I bought a pair of these to replace a Kingston 16GB 1600MHz CAS10 kit. I The Kingston could tighten the timings to 9-9-9-27-1T, but thats it... albeit expected as higher density modules aren't known for their overclockability (thus looser stock timings on most). Crucial already comes spec'd at CAS9, so I immediately shot for 1866. It was Memtest stable, but not prime stable until I went from 9-9-9-27-1T to 9-9-9-27-2T. Trying to tighten the timings further, or increasing the frequency further, even with extra voltage on the DRAM and the VCCIO, was a no-go.Crucial doesn't seem to bin their modules as much as some brands do. After all, they do make the chips themselves. So I've found over the years their budget modules out-overclock other budget modules. This RAM just again confirms this. |

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1X8GB PCI-12800 DDR3-1600 1.5V CL9 Single Memory Module
Cons:-none
Pros:-has JEDEC to ddr3 2000mhz d CL11-XMP ddr3 1600 CL9-XMP ddr3 1333 CL8-very low profile and easy to install looks nicer than the high profile ones Comment:
running 1 stick on a h61 motherboard and windows experience index is 7.1. default automatically set to 1333 and 1t. which is the maximum the chipset supports. using Pentium G860. |
I got one of those to run on an ASRock Extreme 3 and it runs perfect! It's small in size, and 8 gb is big enough to run a single one. There is no draw back on this thing!
