There's no reason not to run at least 2GB of ram, especially if your box uses DDR2.

Comment: Not much to summarize, I bought it on sale for $18 plus a $10 MIR on top of that, been using it error free for over a month and I'm happy with it. Wouldn't pay $30 for 1GB of this speed today but if you see it for $15 or less it's worth it IMO, at any price it's reliable.

Comment: I bought this ram to upgrade the base ram in a "Telus" laptop for a co-worker. Simply dropped in and booted it up and it was light years faster. Never had any issues with it, great ram value for upgrading everyday laptops!

Comment: I got this on sale price of $9.99 after rebate. My Dell notebook had 1.258gigabytes and since I upgrade with this memory I see noticeable speed increase on my Windows XP SP3. I am really happy with purchase. I did not expect this much speed improvement by upgrade memory on Windows XP but it does!

It went in fine no problems, I use windows XP and openSuSE 10.2. Everything works great and the extra 1GB makes a nice difference. I definitely recommend this, especially if on sale.

Installed very easily and didn't require any configuration in the bios. Other friends with hp laptops have used this just fine as well. Way cheaper than any hp replacement part.

Comment: Took two minutes to install in an Acer 5100. Hard to please the Vista benchmarker but I can see a difference in speed right away. I have 2 of these modules now and the laptop is good to go.
