Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:-512megs is getting small with vista and all
Pros:+Cheap+No heat spreader(yet it runs very cool)+Mine did 4,4,4,10 Comment:
Grabbed 2 of these to add to my 2gigs of OCZ(the platinum stuff with its heat spreaders slowly falling off) and WOW. they run 667 4,4,4,10 with no problems. Here is the real kicker they run cooler then OCZ's stuff and they have no heat spreader's. would replace all my ram with this stuffwell the 1 gig sticks. |

for the price, can't complain about these. Picked up a couple for a clients office rig. 1GB is enough for him, and dual channel is always nice. |

Cons:-No heatspreaders-Runs cool

Works flawlessly with my system at stock settings. Chips feel cool to the touch after continous stressing. Heatspreaders would have been nice to include for overclocking. |

i got one of those yesterday to upgrade from 512 meg to 1 gig of ram , i was thinking of installing this in single channel since my other memory is not the same , but to my surprise i was able to use it in dual channel with my board and other ram, i am very pleased, here is my config , board Abit kn9 sli512 meg apacer pc 4300 533 , and my crucial rendition is pc 5300 , so i put them both at 533 mhz and all works fine :) This review was modfied by poster @ 02-24-07 09:39 AM |

Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:Not ddr2 6400
Pros:Very stable at current clock speed Comment:
I'm Running 2x512 on asus m2npv-vm mobo with on board video (Geforce 6150) you can update bios to use 256mb of this ram as frame buffer. I'm currenly playing F.E.A.R at 1024x768 and runs, not too bad for onboard. No lock-ups or frame freezes, A good value.. cheap! |

Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:non
Pros:Runs perfect at stock and easily runs above spec. Comment:
This ram is fantastic for its price. I have it running at DDR2-6400, 1T, 4-4-4-12-16 with 2V on a abit nf-m2 nView. At stock voltage it went all the way to 385Mhz 2T 5-5-5-15-20 where the motherboard maxed out. I even accidentally booted into windows just fine with 450Mhz. Might run at extremely high speeds, but I don't want to put anything over 2.0V to these with no heat spreader. This is just as good or even better as higher priced overclocking RAM. |

Cons:None for the sale price.
Pros:Its running 4-4-4-12-1TStock volts...Single channel though heh. Comment:
Excellent bang for the dollar, I might have gotten lucky or maybe the memory subsystem on my Abit NF-M2 nView is just awesome, but its running cas4 and its 10 hours prime95, 10 hours gromacs stable. |

Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:mediocre performance
Pros:compatibilityvalue Comment:
With todays RAM prices being so volatile, this RAM stands out a great value-minded choice. It's not a performance RAM by any standard, but it is not low-performance either. I bought 2 of these sticks and they work perfectly together in dual-channel, giving a read bandwidth of ~4.8GB/sec according to Everest, using an AMD AM2 4200 X2 CPU (bandwidth would be higher with a faster-clocked CPU as it would reduce the effect of the higher CAS latency). The best advantage to using this RAM is great compatibility with almost any DDR2 motherboard you decide to throw it into, as this RAM is designed right to DDR2 specs k 1.8volts. All-in-all, I'm happy with this purchase, would definitely buy again, just not for a gaming machine unless on a very tight budget. |

Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:not overclocking,so works fine.
Pros:It's cheap and apparently I have to make up more words or I can't submit this review.Whats to say,it's cheap and does what it is expected to do. Comment:
Using with ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA and P4D 820,had to manualy set ram speed from 533 to 667.Otherwise works fine in dual channel. |

Crucial Rendition 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:None
Pros:-Usually cheapest, on sale DDR2 RAM (at both 533 and 667)-Excellent for any system, or those who cant afford 1GB-Runs fine with the system I built, Crucial seems to be a very realiable brand as I have used a few of their products recently-Stable when OC'ed Sempron 2800+ from 1.6GHz to 2GHz Comment:
Unless you cant afford 1x1GB of this same model, get this. Best RAM for the buck you can get right now, highly recommended. |
cheap enough for a basic system, but not enough for even the slightest overclock. Look for faster speed, with heatspreader if overclock is desired.
