CyberPower CP550SL 550VA 330Watts UPS - Retail
Cons:No line smoothing functionality

Pros:Decent basic UPS. Seems to give me about 3 minutes of backup.
Comment:
A good basic UPS. Software is nicer than Opti-UPS, but not as comprehensive. Gives me about 3 minutes of backup. Decent size backup battery (700MAh)

Cons:No log with the software

Pros:Great sofware and very simple to manage.
Comment:
This is a good UPS option for those who need to put thier network components (switch, DSL router, etc) on a battery backup or who need to put external devices on a UPS to isolate them from unstable local power.

Cons:You have to download the software from CyberPower site (no cd included in the box)

Pros:4 surge + battery outlets4 surge outletsUSB connectivityRecognized by Windows XP as a UPS when USB connected
Comment:
My mother needed a UPS to protect her components when there is loss of power or power surge (which is quite often) so I waited for a good special... and I've purchased this. It does what it's supposed to do. Overall satisfactory.

CyberPower CP550SL 550VA 330Watts UPS - Retail
Cons:WeakBuzzes loudly when running off battery backup

Pros:4 Surge & UPS outlets4 Surge-protected outletsUSB connectivitySoftware works well
Comment:
I needed a UPS to protect my components against sudden loss of power and surges, not to actually keep my system running when the power goes out. Since this UPS is actually rated rather low, it was perfect. This will not keep your system running for any considerable amount of time unless it's very low power!I have a overclocked Q6600, 4GB of RAM, a HD4850, Velociraptor, two optical drives and 5 fans and the software reports 8 minutes of runtime when running on batteries. The software works like a charm - I have it set to shut off the system after 1 minute on battery backup and it works (tested by unplugging).Got this unit on sale for $50 with free shipping via the $10 gift card.
