I installed this on my old p4 gigabyte mobo that didn't have ethernet (dam sis chipsets) and it works like a charm.

I was expecting a Realtek 8139 based chipset, which has full support in OSX but was disappointed to find a Via Rhine chipset instead. I did find a driver that worked however so it turned out alright. Works fine so far in OSx86, Vista and 2003 Server.

Pros:Cheap, good brand name, no fuss no muss Comment: Bought 5 of these for computers at work, no problems at all. Worked perfect from day 1 and there have been no complaints. Easy way to get older computers online.

I put 3 of those in my personal smoothwall plus in many others firewalls/fileservers and had no problem with them since I have them. They have been detected without problem by every OS I use (Windows, Linux, BSD) and are rock solid ever since.

It's a very simple NIC with no real extra features, but it's great for your average client computer. Driver instilation is also VERY easy and takes around 30 seconds.

At first the computer would recognize the card but it wouldn't work properly. After some troubleshooting I remembered a proplem with her computer and having two pci cards, so I removed her old modem and bam! everything worked like a charm. Works great and can't beat this price.

I didn't even need to use the software that came with it and both Ubuntu and WinXP detected them fine and I had quickly had Internet connection.

This lan card is stable and consistant. I have no connection problems and its runing faster than my old lan card. If you need a lan card buy this one, dont let the low price fool you (it is a quality product.)

I've never had a problem with installation or use. Install is simple and straight-forward. Drivers install with no hitches. Maxing out the card's bandwidth produced nothing strange. It's a pretty basic card that works and works well.
