D-LINK DIR-890L AC3200 11A/B/G/N/AC 5G Dual Band GB APP-ENABLED Router With USB3.0
Cons:none so far
Pros:Easy to setup, remote access, fast, incredible range Comment:
I opened this thing and installed it in less than 3 minutes.NOTE: If your with SHAW - you will need to call in and have them to set your modem to bridge mode. This takes only a minute and the router will be ready. I have the Cisco DPC3825 and once it was in bridge mode, the router just automatically worked. Easy setup. My first tests were some speed tests and this thing is blazing on my N devices and incredible on my AC devices. I have 9 devices setup (2 Chromecasts, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Grande Prime, Galaxy Note 3, Lenovo Yoga, Area 51 R2, Dlink wireless HD Camera, iPhone 5) and every one of them is getting tip top connection speeds. Much more stable and faster than my Cisco wireless was providing me.The big winner here is Range. I did speed tests from different rooms in my house. With my Cisco, I couldn't get a solid connection upstairs, the range just wasn't there. With this, not only do I get the range, but the speed was right up there as though I was only 10 feet from the router. The ultimate test was when I left the house to walk my dogs. I was half way down the block and still connected to it pulling up websites and Facebook etc. Great range! So far I have had zero problems with it. |
This thing is super fast, easy to setup and nice QoS. Its a bit large but it looks cool. I set up my 12TB nas and using its USB 3.0 port. There is no lag even when streaming 4 full 1080p movies at the same time.
