I picked this up virtually a year ago on sale for ื.99. It does a actually very good job with replacement firmware (DD-WRT) The Firmware it comes with is pretty weak. It crashes and resets under load sometimes. grab it if you want a cheap router that can run the full normal edition of DD-WRT

its a 300mbps N router, Very good specs for a router horrible setup procedure, speeds aren't all there im Network+ certified and setup tons of WiFi networks with out utilizing those lame setup discs. For some reason this router would NOT function unless u setup with the disc. Its now a recognized truth that ALL routers produced in the last 2-three years suck. I mean each router is made at lower top quality than the original routers that came out five-6 years ago. A great solid Linksys G router is nonetheless superior than 1 of these new N super routers. Every thing about new routers are low high quality. Lighter, cheaply produced poor efficiency. I have had to switch back to my 5 year old Buffalo 125mbps G router with Tomato on iut. It out performs the D-Link straight up All new Routers suck, thats it! Absolutely nothing else to it I havent discovered one very good router that is a new generation develop

tech support decent in no way worked correct tried flashing firmware exact same challenge. might have wireless signal for 3hrs then gone. Rest of the time signal lasts only couple of seconds. tried 3 various laptops similar dilemma. XP and Vista identical dilemma.

pretty sturdy, nice UI, particularly straightforward to use my PS3 and telephone drop off the network each and every when and a even though, when i initially got this router i was kinda bumbed since i wanted to use the quick setup disc but dont have a cd drive ATM and took a even though as soon as i got it from the web site and even couldnt get the wizard to work so i had to do it myself and the initially day i had it i dropped it and broke an antenna on it but still works. software that comes with it is nice. if this your first router or you know nothing about routers or computers i def. recommend.havent had a opportunity to test the wireless N but but soon.properly hoped this helped anyone out.

Great fast router that hardly gets hot even. It is possible to entirely disable wireless capability in the router. Wireless antennas are incredibly fragile be careful. The port is open by the router and can't be firewalled in any way. There for it can't pass GRC Shields Up security test.

The unit is excellent when wired. Speeds are really very good for wired devices. Too poor I wanted a wireLESS router... The connections for any wireless device will drop at a moments notice, and then will not reconnect without power cycling the unit. If you even so significantly as hibernate your laptop, it will drop the connection and will not reconnect. I got this unit for quite low cost, but it is about to be thrown out. No wireless router is excellent and will drop connections but 1x or 2x per day, and then have to reboot is not acceptable. Do not acquire this! Save the aggravation. This is the worst wireless router I have ever owned.

Wonderful price, exceptional range, simple setup None I can believe of I had read some critiques that stated the directions and setup wizard had been difficult to follow (some suggested watching some YouTube videos), but it went nicely for me out of the box. My old 802.11.g router gave me Poor to Low connectivity (not a straight line from router to my desktop), but this 802.11.n provides me Excellent to Great.

it's nice and functional router but the speed is lower than i thought as described, it says that you get 300mbps on this unit but actually it doesn't max speed is 118mbps it's been tested on the gigabyte network for speed purpose and it doesn't preform as it said on the box,you can do the calculations on thisat 300mbps is 30mp/s transfer rate and i do 11.8mp/s top speed so it really a big difference but i can't complain, d-link is mostly about durability and performance and they are one of the top 5 best routers in the market.

Bought this router for a non-tech savy family member. Didn't use the included setup cd, instead setup using the GUI which was simple enough. Got on sale. Just as good as any other brand of router in my opinion.

This product is fine. It is my third router and my first router with wireless N. I used my Asus RT-N13U as my repeater, DIR-615 as the base. They are working well. I don't compare it with other routers ,because All Of The Routers In The World SUCKS! (Included DIR-615)

I bought this router without really an option, knowing that this product wasn't that good i still gave it a chance. On the first day when i installed it, my roommate wasn't home. We both had a computer each, a laptop and desktop with shaw internet 7.5mb speed. It was fine when using myself but when he arrived home and connected, the net became poor full of jitter and ping. I finally realised that the wireless signal was unstable causing drops, constant freezing and connectivity issues with wireless after disconnecting. My roommate werent doing much except browsing and I was playing a game with everything off like MSN, but still the ping and jitter... game frozed and skilled and delayed while my roommate had connection lost. So later we decided to test using wired each and it was better but still performance and jitter were still high. This product is poor I am completely convinced that Dlink makes poor products!If your planning to say that it's probably because 7.5mb shared between two people seems understanding to have high jitter and ping, Thats is not the case Ive had this connection for a year and my previous router before it burnt out had no 1-5 jitter and perfect ping of 20 and below. I am never going to buy from dlink ever again

A very good router for its price range. I still get moderate signal strength on third floor with the router in the basement. I got a B2 version of this router, so I can't flash it with DD-WRT. That's pretty much the only flaw.

Mine was difficult to set up and determine the best way to configure. But that's insignificant to the fact it drops connections at least once each 8 hour day. I'm past the 30 day return window, so I'll trash mine and buy what has always worked well for me for many years: Linksys. I may even reinstall my WRT54G that I thought was giving problems, when it turned out not to be the router anyway. Very disappointed with my first D-Link experience. Cheap is more, not less.

I bought this to replace a Belkin G wireless router. This router is not working well at all. It is dropping connections every 5 to 10 minutes. I wish I could return the product. Since it crossed the 30 day time, I cannot return. I need to replace it. Spend more money and get a different product that has good reviews. I am looking into Apple Air Extreme.

Probably a bit early for a full review as I've only had it set up for 2 weeks, but I've been impressed so far, easy to set up and great range. I get full speeds anywhere in my house across two floors.

The router arrived quickly. It was pretty easy to set up, though the fully automatic part needed some help. Now I have n-speed not g-speed. It made a difference.

Did not have any problems in the least bit with this thing. Works great and is at 100% even about 10ft outside of the apt.

Installation was very easy, just follow the instructions. This router is presently being used in both a wired and wireless environment.

Worked right out of the box and was a snap to set up with minimal problems. Works well with a wireless thermastat.

A noticeable speed difference with wired connections but lots and lots and lots of grief getting wireless connections. Our Netgear router packed it in after 2 years and we needed a new one. I have several tenants and our own family computers and we rely on both wired and wireless connections. Take a pass on this router. I spent 100 bucks on the D-Link DIR 655 and it has been rock solid for 2 weeks. Wireless connections are strong and never drop.
