D-Link DPR-1260 Rangebooster G Multifunction Print Server
Comment: Great support for HP Printers. Unfortunately very limited support for printers from other manufacturers..such as Canon.
Not bidirectional, will not support ink level information from most printers.
HP multifunction printers are supported in modes of printing, scanning, and faxing.
Any other manufacturers printer has been limited to print only function.
Overall, a poor choice and considering D-Links other great products I am surprised this particular model made it to the market.
D-Link marketing claims support of mutifunction printers and it is even printed on the box. However, you have to dig deep into their web site for printer compatibility information to end up finding out that the product is not 100 percent compatible with most printers.
Customer Support/ Tech Support on this particular product from D-Link regarding a new firm ware release and what added printers were covered or print capabilities in the newly released firm ware was not addressed.
