excellent product if user is aware of driver issue
Comment:
This product works great. The only issue I had at first was that I installed the drivers for it on my new computer running Windows 7. From my experience, the software that come on the d-link disc is quite buggy, or at least it is with Windows 7. I could not connect to the internet at all (AT FIRST). Once I found out that the software is buggy I unistalled the driver and it works wonderfully now! |

This is a great product if you have a D-Link router and a computer that won't talk to it. Just plug it into an open USB port and you can start talking to your wireless system! You may have to vary your setup protocol a little from the automatic one that the software runs. If it doesn't work at first go back and do a custom install. We did this with a Dell because for some reason they don't like D-link routers. This adapter solves the problem beautifully! |
I love D-link products. For the most part they just work ;). The software works with Vista 64 bit but not with windows 7 64 bit. However, the software is not needed with Windows 7. Just plug the USB dongle into a USB port and Windows 7 will install the necessary driver. Found my D-link access point almost immediately. Cannot beat this price. Plus it is black and orange, nice.
