D-Link DWA-542 32-bit PCI RangeBooster N Desktop Adapter - Retail
Cons:Software!! Connection manager doesn't play nice with windows XP.
Pros:Good Range, Very Fast. Low latency. Buy This. Comment:
Don't install the D-link utility to manage your connection. When windows asks to install drivers, point it to the folder with the drivers on the CD and let windows manage the connection. Good Luck!! |

D-Link DWA-542 32-bit PCI RangeBooster N Desktop Adapter - Retail
Cons:None.
Pros:Good range, strong signal, good speeds. Comment:
Card installed flawlessly. was a little hesitant to buy d-link, since ive had problems, but i mean comon its wirless ive had problems with netgear linksys asus and so on. wireless-n seems to finally be viable. Would recommend. |
I bought this card to go into a gaming rig I was putting together for my brother. It works fine but I have a problem at home with the wireless network where (for compatibility reasons) I can't set the 2.4GHz band to wireless N. Our 5.0GHz band is on N but as this card doesn't support it, I'm forced to use G for the time being. Good thing it's backwards compatible!
