Comment:
Installed this on my IBM ThinkPad T30 with Windows XP Pro. It was easy to install and works great, no probems. It is a very good adapter for the price.

Great when it works
Comment:
I bought this adapter to make a dell laptop talk to my d-link router. The problem is that it isn't consistent. When I first set it up it worked great. I turned off the computer and then it wouldn't connect to the internet the next time I re-booted the computer. I had to reinstall the card. It did it again. I managed to fool it by holding my mouth some way that made it work. I don't know if it is XP or what. For the price I'll keep playing with it if I can keep making my dell talk to my d-link router, because otherwise they won't communicate.

Simple and functional network card.
Comment:
I got this card to convert an old unused laptop into an internet machine. Running ubuntu on the machine, this card works perfectly. Connects, has good range, no-brainer to install. Great bargain, too, at the low price. Recommended!

Excellent product - Works with Linux
Comment:
I used this on my old IBM T21 ThinkPad running the Linux Mint LXDE OS. It worked perfectly. No messing around with wicd nor ndiswrapper. It handles WPA2 smoothly. If you're looking to breathe new life into an old laptop this product will save you from doing a 'dumpster upgrade', and wasting your money on that other OS. It literally works 'out of the box' with Linux!

Very Good network card for price
Comment:
Works very well in my older Compaq Armada E500. Worked right out of the box with drivers off the CD. But I went ahead and downloaded the newest drivers from DLinks Website.

Hard to resist the price
Comment:
Many features built in. However, the adapter manager will not end by itself when shutting down requiring the user to END NOW. Irritating when you see the computer never shut down after you left it.

A great, cheap wireless adapter for Linux
Comment:
This card worked immediately when plugged into my elderly Dell 1.3ghz laptop, now set up for Linux (Ubuntu) and hasn't given any fuss being pulled out or popped back in while operating. The actual connection speed has also been impressive.

Not the best example of it's use
Comment:
my wireless card in my toshiba satelite laptop was going bad. It had limited connectivity issues, no connection, slow speed, all kinds of problems. It had just been working fine then began to slowly crash and burn. So I threw this puppy into the side of my laptop and now the internet works great. While im not sure how Combined the effort is, nevertheless my toshiba's internet is running GREAT

Drivers must be downloaded
Comment:
Came with a CD, but included drivers did not work. Card kept renewing its IP. After downloading new drivers from website, everything worked great, card kept its connection. CD came with version 1.0 drivers for XP, but version 1.3 worked.

Was not compatible with my Acer Laptop
Comment:
I have a Acer Aspire 5920 Laptop and my wireless connection keeps giving me Limited Connectivity issues and then wont find any wireless networks so I decided to get a new wireless card. The shipping was superfast. The installation disk has only drivers and instructions for XP and earlier version but I was able to get the Vista driver from their website. Everything was real easy until I was prompted to insert the card into my laptop during the installation I realized that it does not fit. My laptop takes a sort of L shaped PCMCIA card (Says express card ?) never seen that before. So I advice you to look into your slot first and make sure that your laptop will take a straight card. So I will have to send mine back but thought I share this with you guys so you can check your laptop before ordering.

Easy to use
Comment:
This was incredibly easy to install once it was attached to the laptop. Other models in the past involved troubleshooting to resolve conflicts and to access to the wireless adapter. This had no such difficulties and worked right out-of-the-box.
