D2 Pad 7in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Tablet 1GHz 512MB 4GB Capactive Multi Touch Cam MicroSD - White
Cons:Very cheap tablet. It is half the price of an average 7" tablet and you get half the performance. It struggles with a lot of apps. Battery life is short.
Pros:Very cheap tablet. Decent for phone calls and low end games. Can play lots of multimedia. You can expand the storage with a Micro-SD card. Easy to root. Comment:
Reading online I see a lot of negative reviews for this tablet. Its not "bad" per say. I think that people have very high expectations for this device. This D2 pad should not be held to the same standard as other 7" tablets. It may be safer to call it an expensive MP3 player. The D2 does not have many features that people take for granted (GPS or Bluetooth for example). This tablet was designed with children in mind. You will not fall into depression if your child cracks/drops/dips and ultimately destroys this device. You WILL be satisfied if you buy this tablet looking for a multimedia tablet (Not 1020p). It works for YouTube and can make voice or Skype calls over WiFi. It has a slot for Micro-SD so a lot of media can be stored. It is OK at web surfing but again don't expect amazing performance. The battery life is low. For playing media I get about 4hrs before needing a charge. This drops when full brightness and WiFi are active.I have purchased 3 of these machines. One for myself (for commutes to work) and 2 for my boys. Its a good product if you buy it knowing its limitations. |

got on sale for $80 for my kid to play withchea |
I purchased this on sale for $50 plus shipping so keep that in mind with my 4 star rating.I believe this a great starter Android tablet for a first time user. It's ready to go out of the box; no sign ups/ins required and two fairly decent app stores to download from. The controls are on the same side and the thick bezel allow for easy handling without inadvertently touching the screen. I would definitely recommend this to any Android newbie looking to get one.Although this a basic tablet for the advanced user the price can't be beat to play with it. Root it and do whatever you want to it (I've found a few how to's out there) and you're out less than $75 bucks.
