DIAMOND ATI TV Wonder HD 600 TVW600PCI
Cons:I couldn't get it to work with XP pro, their was a codec missing and couldn't be found after 5hrs of searching.Diamonds website is worthless.I will be trying it with XP media center PC next as the cards destination was for an XP machine..... I tried it in my Vista unit to make sure it at least works.
Pros:it works, I'm using an antenna and the scanning software picked up HD channels without any fuss.... it was super easy to install with Vista 64bit home premium. Comment:
seems fine with Vista but couldn't get it to work with XP.... it's been solid for the past few days..... I haven't noticed a syncing issue but my pc is reasonably powerful using a C2D e8400 and 4gb's of ram with an HD 5770 1gb for graphics.the software is "quirky"..... alot easier to use than the old All in Wonder software but still when I relaunched catalyst media center it defaulted to analog video.... probably a setting, regardless took only a second to switch to digital and the channels were still saved. Could not card to work correctly on XP Media Center or XP computers. The install would crash during installation. This occured on software supplied in the box, software downloaded from the website, and software set to me by tech support. After 8 hours I gave up and sent back to Tigerdirect. |

I gave this card four stars all the way down. I got it in the mail yesterday, put it in my almost new compac using the instructions, and it works very well. No sync issues, good picture. I have cable. Without the cable box, it gets chan's 2-65 perfectly when set for analog. It picked up only chan's 320 and 321 when set to digital. I'm sure if I hooked up a ''set top'' box from the cable company, it would pick up all the chan's just fine. Happy with the product. |

I had a spectrum of issues when dealing with this product. The first was the software installation, which required me to download a separate driver from ATI's support website, before I was able to install the drivers from the included CD, without the website driver installed, the CD installation would fail. As far as how the product works, it peforms rather poorly. The video has 1-2 second delay in relation to the audio of your TV channel. All my channels have also been relatively staticy, and I did ensure that my signal was fine while hooked up to my television. All in all, I would have to say that my $15 Sabrent tuner card works much better than this ATI model. |

DIAMOND ATI TV Wonder HD 600 TVW600PCI
Cons:ATI Catalyst Media Center does not function properly in Vista Business operating Environment. Watch for sound out of sync with picture or static in place of sound, and freeze framing. Poor support for Vista environment problem.
Pros:ATI Catalyst software will work in Windows XP Professional. Comment:
The software malfunctions intermittantly within the Vista environment even with all the drivers up to date. ATI/Diamond support staff willing to blame other hardware instead of escalating problem to software design team for resolution.Tested on computer with dual operating systems indicates Vista incompatibility issues, as hardware is the same.RMA will cost you %15 plus loss of shipping re-emboursement.All parties insensitive to problem. |
Had to use Vista drivers, no Windows 7 support. Software does not switch between analog and digital tuners (both available on my cable system). After watching TV and shutting down the software, have to reboot PC to use the tuner again later. Use with Windows Media Center netted the same poor results.
