Danger Den Tubing Plug for 3/8IN ID Tubing
Cons:- they are a bit hard to get into the tubing the first time as the edge has a bit of a lip on it.
Pros:- Work as advertised- convenient to use when swapping out waterblocks Comment:
Bought a couple of these and have used them a few times already. I'll probably adjust my loop in the next few weeks and use of them permanately as a stopper in the bottom of the loop which would allow me to drain the system a bit easier. |
I bought a couple of these for use with Primochill 3/8 tubing. Boy were they hard to get into the tubing, because the entry edge is sharp and square, and jams very easily on inward movements. If you could heat your tubing, or maybe file down the entry edge to a bevel, it would make life easier. The entry edge should be beveled like most barbs. Pulling it out was similar -- hard to do, and no knurling or easy grip surfaces on the exposed part. Having said all this, there was lots of room for a hose clamp, and the plugs definitely did not leak. So the main function was achieved.
