Dell Streak 7in Android Tablet 4GB NVIDIA Tegra WiFi Gorilla Glass MicroSD
Cons:Graphic is awful and the touchscreen is crappy
Pros:though construction Comment:
For 149$ it is a poor quality tablet, according to graphic and visual experience. For commercial/industrial use, this tablet is REALLY nice, though construction... For residential use, forget it... |
I've been using this tablet primarily for a Sonos controller, e-mail/surfing, e-reader and Netflix for the past year. It has served me well for the price paid. I initially installed a pile of games and lots of other apps on it, but found that that the more I added, the slower this thing became. Boot up time is pathetically slow (two minutes or more), and it does crash at least a couple of times a week.I reset it to factory, and things have been better since. For this price, it is a nice little unit to have. For a bit more denaro, you should be able to get something faster and more stable.I do like that I can use it from time to time with 3G card from my Bell cellphone for some light surfing in the wilds. I managed to find a dirt cheap Otterbox for it, and combined with the durable glass on it, it becomes a solid traveler. Works nice for geocaching too. Also I found a dock for it for very cheap (which gives HDMI & audio out). So if worse comes to worse, I can use it as an inexpensive and capable little digital picture frame and Sonos controller in my living room when I upgrade to a new tablet.
