Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Its huge. only 512mb
Pros:Super Fast. Very Cool. Comment:
Had this card for over 2 years. Never let me down. I'm using a single core 939 proc with 2GB ram. I run COD MW2 y 1600-1200 on medium to high settings with no problem. Most games run great even with old proc. Gets faster with every driver update. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Mine Was Poorly Built - Had To Fix It Right Out Of The Box
Pros:Excellent PerformanceBig But Not HugeFan Not Too Noisy Comment:
This card performs flawlessly. Plays Crysis on high without any difficulty at 1680x1050. Only gripe is the poorly designed fan connector...mine was broken from the factory. The multilayer PCB doesn't have a solder pad for the fan leads-solder has to get down into the holes. Didn't happen on mine and the result was a near meltdown. Rather than the hassle of RMA I just soldered it properly. Oh, and the fancy graphic on my card was so poorly applied it was full of airbubble blisters. Too bad because the card performs fantastic. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:- RMA support by the manufacturer is a headache.
Pros:- Great Card- Does everything I need + more- Got it at a great price Comment:
Really like this card, was using it for a while. When I got my new case I moved this into it and notice it was missing a capacitor had to RMA the card for repair with Diamond it took almost a month to get it back after the rep on the phone told me that it should only be a day or 2 once they get it. The New drivers for the card have helped a lot with handling the temps and inside my 900 I can't really hear the stock cooler. Over all good buy. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Cooler is noisy when running on load
Pros:Great cardsRuns everything at max settingHDMI output Comment:
This is an excellent card for its price. I upgraded from 3870 and I noticed significant improvement when playing games at max setting! I am happy with the card and may look into getting another one to run crossfire. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Fan is very loud at high speeds but is fine at idle. Idles at about 50 degrees at about 30% fan speed in my Antec 1200.
Pros:Awesome Card , Ive had it for a few months now and never had any problems with it. Came with alot of extras including the scratch and win which I got 40% off at the Diamond Store - Have not got the chance to use it yet. Comment:
Great Card. Thinking about getting another one for CrossFire. Plays all my games at max settings including COD4, GRID, CODWaW, LFD and others |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Runs a little warm depending on fan settingsLong profile
Pros:Very fastDecent coolerFeature rich with sound over HDMI Comment:
AMD/ATI has a winner on their hands here. The 4870 is a monster in games. Considering it's price to performance ratio, it wins heads down against the Nvidia opposition, this coming grudgingly from a pro-Nvidia supporter. Having upgraded from a 8800GT, Crysis no longer chokes although it still gives the 4870 a run for its money. Other games like Fallout 3 and Bioshock are pushovers at maximum settings on a 22" 1680x1050 resolution.Installation is a little difficult in my Antec 900 due to its long profile. Requires 2 6pin connectors for power. Noise is tolerable and as mentioned, heat is dependant on the fan settings.Technically it can achieve even more, but the gaming industry is still heavily dependant on driver support. If AMD/ATI is able to implement a auccessful programme like Nvidia's "The Way It's Meant to be Played", it will corner the market for enthusiasts. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Noisy and bad cooler design.
Pros:Fast card, great value for the money. Comment:
This a fast card, no doubt about that. Runs nearly all games perfectly at highest settings. What bugs me about this is the cooler design, first of all very noisy (compared to the 7800GTX I had before) at stock fan speeds. Even with tweaked fan speeds at idle temperatures, it's still much noisier than my 7800GTX.Secondly, I really wish they would have used a rear-exhausting heat sink. Sure, this heat sink might be great if your case has very very good airflow, but less than optimal airflow causes the hot air to just pool up around the card. I'm going to find myself buying a new case now because the temperature climbs above 80*C and causes stability problems once it hits 82*C (full load). A cooler design that exhausts outside the case would not have this problem (think Arctic-Cooling Silencer style cooler). For this I must give this card a 4 out of 5. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Price (It's gone up!), Size
Pros:FAST, Cooler, Did I mention FAST? Comment:
4870, arguably the fastest single GPU card out right now. The diamond version comes with the ZeroTherm Cooler with heatpipes and runs ~20C cooler than stock, and its slightly smaller as well. The length of this card is quite long, I had to move a harddrive out of my P182 in order to make this fit. The price has gone up, but thats not the cards fault. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:none so far
Pros:Zerotherm heatsink on this model nowstays cooler with the upgraded heatsinkoverclockability is raised slightly with new heatsink designnot too loud at all and doesnt spin up to max at bootsoftware comes with overclock module and fan controlVery fast gaming with all settings maxed and high resolutionscomes bundled with Grid racer game which is actually a very cool game Comment:
Excellent product, very well designed with the new Zerotherm heatsink which lowers temperatures over the old design. Very fast in games and not noisy at all and also has software overclocking and fan speed control to push even faster. Another bonus is it came bundled with the Grid racer game which is a hoot to play. ATI has been doing alot better lately by releasing driver updates in a more timely manner which bodes well for this new flagship series. |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:why does the fan spin up every time it receis first power?runs very hot
Pros:absolutely fantastic card Comment:
doesn't even have to get out of bed to run COD4 at max. Absolutely fantatic card, just have decent case cooling. I am not sure why the engineers insisted for the fan to rev up to max when booting (initial power), which is slightly irritating, but other than that great buy, highly recommended |

Diamond Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI Video Card
Cons:Drivers are slow to catch up to hardware.Driver polish is not there.
Pros:Excellent price/performance ratio.A beast hardware-wise. Comment:
This is an excellent card. 4870 is a hit and at under 300$ it's a no brainer. Finally ATI has some competition to nVidia and in my opinion they won this round. The hard is actually technological marvel but drivers are still not utilizing it fully. If you are having problems with the card try drivers 8.9, these have been fantastic after disastrous 8.8It also doesn't hurt that I can buy another one later on (when they drop to around 200) and actually come close to double performance with crossfire. This version is Diamond and so far I haven't had to deal with them (except for trying to register the card on website and site failing so I couldn't send my rebate). Diamond was a great company back in the day so hopefully they are still backing that name properly. |
I bought this card a couple years back and has served me well (except for the time when it constantly crashed after most applications or games were open) i had to return it to diamond for a new product. the customer service was excellent as they shipped the product to me (very quickly) then i sent mine to them. this card has handled any game ive thrown at it even with my processor bogging it down (AMD X2 6000+) with the only exception of new games that are coming out now (i can no longer max out the graphics, however i new chip should solve that problem) its great how ati has fix the fan issue problem from the past and we can now adjust the speed of the fan. this will reduce your temps from 60 degrees (idle) to 45degrees with the speed at 100. this does however increase the noise substantially
