Dlink DSS-5+ Port 10/100 Switch
Cons:You get what you pay for. Cheap switch but for the price it's good. LEDs are not good as well.
Pros:Good for the price. Comment:
Using this for my older LAN, it's decent considering how cheap it was! 5 ports, good speeds; I haven't encountered any lag. |

Dlink DSS-5+ Port 10/100 Switch
Cons:LED's can be hard to read as they are very small
Pros:Good looking unitEasy to get hooked up Comment:
This does that job, I really appreciated the ease of adding it to my pre existing network without the hassle of having to change anything (other than some cable routing of course). Have not had any collisions or lag. I would recommend this product. |

Cons:a d-linknot good with linksys routerdosen't work 25% of the time
Pros:5 portsprice!a d-linkfast transfer speeds Comment:
maybe I just got a bad one but this switch seems to cut out periodically for two computers on the router.. plugging them into the router fixes this problem. Good price though and maybe you will have more luck! |

Dlink DSS-5+ Port 10/100 Switch
Cons:- A little light. Cables pull on it.
Pros:- Fast- Good Size- 5 Ports- Price Comment:
I was using a 3Com, and it died when my dog ate the ethernet cord attached to it. So, I bought a linksys from Futureshop and was not satisfied with it at all. Took it back and got this - now I'm satisfied. Excellent transfer speeds, internet is 10x faster, I've got an extra port now for computers I build, and you can't beat that price!Highly recommended if you're looking for a good quality switch for a decent price. |

Dlink DSS-5+ Port 10/100 Switch
Cons:none
Pros:Full DuplexAmazing ThroughputGood looking and easy to understand and install. Comment:
Bought this at a computer show in Missisauga in April of 2002. payed 88$. Glad I did. I love this switch. The fastest throughput i got between PC's was 32mbit/s and that was between a 3com 3c905b NIC and a Compaq Presario NIC (same subnet) The Compaq was using the same NIC as me but I lent that out. Kind of wish i didnt because I want to see how fast this badboy can really go. Once I do get it back I'll test it out again and post my results. anyway, this switch is perfect, it's cheap, fast and any person looking into networking there machines can use it. |

Dlink DSS-5+ Port 10/100 Switch
Pros:Fast, Small, and always a dedicated switch
Comment:
I just switched from a hub to this, this works like awsome. A good switch, your internet speeds will go as fast as you can imagine. I've been hosting a game server with another hub, but I always get lag. Now my server is full and dedicated no lag because of this switch. A very good product. |
I have quite a few of these at work and they work flawlessly. They cheap and efficient especially if you need to split up between multiple machines and do not need a full gigabit connection between them.
