Simple setup, almost everything was in the box Windows experience score is only a ŕ" becuase of the integrated graphics, was hoping it would be a small bit greater. Built this for my mom, her old computer system is more than 7 years old.Apex TX-381 Micro ATX TowerECS A785 Micro ATX AM3AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor three. Fantastic for desk best application.2 Pci e's, I run three monitors , want second pcie for second graphics card. Operates good Do not like the PS2 , serial port, and will need only 1 pci. These are old technologies ports. Take away the Ps2 ports and replace w USB.Take away serial port also and add esata.Take away 1 PCI and add second PCI E X 16This would then make this an great highend desk top ComputerDo not want HDMI for desktop application. |

Easy setup , ECS has under no circumstances let me down. Not ever. Almost certainly the ideal telephone tech help I have ever encountered from any firm , the teach name is Mitch. Full eggage goes to ECS for delivering as promised with consistency but once again and also to newegg for delivering a day early. WTG. None I have generally used ECS and this is no unique.Very good board, uncomplicated setup no issues. and excellent customer service |
-Nice layout, even for a basic board. I like how the motherboard heatsinks are laid out.-I read that this board is quite energy efficient. -The board's Front Panel Connector pins are laid out properly, but they are upside-down from what the manual says they are, and from what just about every other motherboard on the market place has. By means of trial and error I figured out whih pins have been for the power button. Annoying.-The BIOS is quite poor. It has ACC, sleep possibilities, all that, but there are issues with CPU detection, voltage settings, and so forth. I have the Athlon II X4 635, which this board supports. The BIOS detects the CPU appropriately as what it is; even so, it thinks this CPU is supposed to get 1.36 volts, when it's truly only supposed to get .85-1.25V. There is literally no alternative to lower voltage under this level- only to increase voltage. This also causes the idle temps of the CPU to be at least 65° C, and the North Bridge gets an even greater voltage and reads as high as 79° C. This is according to the BIOS's Pc Wellness location even. There is no alternative to decrease NB voltage. (continued) This board gave me a lot of problems. I believe they all stem from this voltage situation, even though I'm not convinced the CPU is truly receiving 1.36V like the BIOS thinks it is, simply because the HSF is cool to the touch. In any case, there are no selections for giving the CPU an appropriate quantity of voltage, underclocking, no BIOS update utility (and since I can't load Windows, I can't use the utility that functions inside Windows clearly, so that's no enable), and it wasn't stable adequate to load Windows. Once more, all my other components are tested functioning: RAM, PSU, CPU, HDD, DVD burner. I'm not working with a discrete video card either.Elitegroup requirements to quit focusing on these gimmick attributes like eJiffy, the "boot to the world wide web" function, and pay interest to producing positive the CPU's their mobos help (according to Elitegroup's web page even) will actually run in their mobos. They require to make a BIOS that won't fry a CPU by automatically providing it a voltage that's way also high. (continued) Manufacturer Response:We do apologize for any situation you are presently possessing with your BIOS settings and readings.
