Awsome Mobo
Comment:
Easy to install and update bios. I put 8gb of ram (4x2gb 800mhz), 2 Rad. HD5750 (1gb ddr5),and at the moment I running a X2 2.7ghz untill I can afford the 985be. So far runs stable and fast, very satisfied with this mobo. Only down side was the board did not come with and Xfire bridges. doesn't sell them as of yet. All the same you can easily find them if you just surf around. |

DOA
Comment:
I was really excited when I ordered this MB, but after waiting for it to arrive, and for my tech to install it, only to have the board be DOA was a real let down. Tech has an identical board sitting in his shop with other problems. I guess ECS is just not the company for my money. |

Great Motherboard!
Comment:
This motherboard works excellently and I have had no issues with it at all. I have liquid cooling in my system and was curious to see how it would work with this board. 5 Stars all the way baby. :) |

And people said ECS is a cheap brand lol so wrong
Comment:
I would have to say with a phenom X4 9750 and using 2X 4870's this has to be the best mother board i have ever had. the bios is easy enough for a beginner to setup up and crossfire was a breeze. also no jumpers for crossfire thank god. i have owned alot of brands like ASUS,Giagbtye,Foxconn, and so on and this ECS is the best build sturdy motherboard i have had so far. package comes with 4 sata cables and there pretty decent ones. i would reccomend this mother board to anyone that wants to use one graphics card or use multipull ones. GREAT BOARD thanks again |

For what it was...
Comment:
I got this to go hand in hand with an AMD Phenom 2. I only wish I had waited to get a board with USB 3.0. If this board came with USB 3.0 I would have still gotten this one. Solid performance at max specs for over a month and still no issues. |

Super board!!
Comment:
I put the Phenom II X4 940 Black in this board, so far so good. I'm not an extreme gamer so the on board Radeon HD3300 chipset works fine for what I need it to do. Maybe I'll get the bug to shoot in a couple of video cards and get back to gaming. That's why I bought this board. Comes with 4 sata cables and IDE ribbon (who uses that anymore). Get this board with the rebate, you won't be disappointed!! |

Amazing
Comment:
Pros cheap, powerful. As another reviewer said this board has an awesome BIOS. Cons Came without some of the items listed. At that point I just bought the connectors rather than wait for replacements. All in all this board is simply amazing! a definate buy in my eyes still despite the missing items. |

awesome board!
Comment:
I have this board with a Phenom II x4 940 black oced to 3.6 200by18 multi 1.4 vlts., xfx 5870 at 900 1240, 4gb corsair dominator ddr 21066, xfi fatl1ty, ultra 650 watt psu, 64gb samsung SSD. WD 7200 rpm 200gb. WD caviar black 1tb. System runs simply awesome. No issues. Full mutiplier control for unlocked cpus. Good bios.... stable no issues. only a minor prob but u can only increase the base clock by 5mhz..... this is not a buget board. It has awesome bios allowing for full control of ur cpu and mem. The board is solid and stable. With not to many full atx am2 available this is a must buy over a micro board. Highly reccomended |

Good board, unless you want to do RAID.
Comment:
I always use strip RAID when i set up a new computer. Recently my old board died and I needed a replacement. After a day of trying to install windows 7 on two drives set in RAID i finally gave up and just installed windows on one. I had no problems after that. Also, trying to flash the Bios without an operating system is extremely difficult with this board. You have to use a boot disk, but without an os installed it is tricky. Maybe I have just been spoiled with bioses that allow you to flash them while in the setup menu from a jump drive (ASUS). Once the board was set up, and I installed an OS, it was easy to flash the bios (not that I needed to at that point as i no longer was trying to RAID the drives). Overall it works just fine now, but no RAID. |

just what i needed

i got this board to replace my previous one. this board doesn't have a dvi port, bummer. But all in all it is a very good board, i would buy another. it does have two lan ports. easy to overclock with. |

NICE
Comment:
My IT Instructor told me to stay away from ECS. That he received 3 bad ones from them I prefer to try things on my own......I should teach him how to install a MB. Me and my classmate bought one each NO problems what so ever! |

Good Value
Comment:
this mobo is a great Gamer for a unbeatable price, just dont scimp on the ram, get the max speed and you will be fine. I'm running this board with 4 GB ram and a AMD phenom 9950 Black Edition. this thing ran crysis on medium graphics strait out of the box with the onboard HD3300 grapics card. if it can run crysis it can run anything. On top of that my gaming buddies computers are left in the dust by this performer. Dont second guess it, just get it (only con is the idiot that wrote the BIOS made it somewhat unstable while overclocked, hopefully there will soon be a BIOS update that fixes the unstability) p,s. this board does not like windows 7, you must go to the ATI website, and download the latest video drivers or windows will crash often. Also the driver CD does not work in windows 7. |

Great budget mobo for crossfire x gaming
Comment:
This mobo is magnificent. It looks better than most other AMD mobos and is one of the cheapest crossfire x or sli compatible AMD mobos. Easy overclocking features, 6 USB ports, HDMI, and quality audio connections, has plenty of internal SATA connectors for DVD drives or HDDs. Unbeatable value for the price. |

BUY IT
Comment:
This is a great motherboard, at a great price. i like that ecs looked ahead towards the future. allowing you to put up to 32gb, when 8gb come out. i also like thatit has a daul gigabit lan. This we allow managing network traffic between two separate networks, and ensures rapid data tranfer from wan to lan without any latency. You can set your hard drive on raid 0,1,5 or 10. Oh yes cant forget that this is am3 ready, so you can buy the phenom 2 955 3.2ghz. The only probrem is that the video card could cover up the sata porTS. |

ECS A790GXM-A AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
Comment:
ECS has usually meant ''budget'' or ''cheap'' as far as motherboards were concerned ($300 hp HTPC's anyone?) and I wasn't expecting anything different from this board. I was very, very surprised to find that the price, the amount of features, and overall quality was very good. The loss of a DVI connector is a bit of a hit, but otherwise, its a great board for a ''budget'' AM2+ OC gaming machine when paired with a 3870 ATI card. If you want a machine that'll keep up with (NOT match) the big names and numbers without going over $450, give this a go. |

ECS A790GXM-A AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
Cons:None
Pros:It looks great Comment:
This motherboard has been running smooth for me for a while. It has a jumper to easily reset the BIOS when you overclock a bit much. It has easy to use overclocking settings in the BIOS in one seperate section. If you want to get an easy 600mhz extra out your processor go with this motherboard! |
This thing is a beast! Survived a power supply that blew up in my case. Overclock features are nice. Will buy ECS again. Only thing to note is that the CPU cooler mounts at a 90-degree angle to just about every board I've ever seen. This might affect you if you use a larger CPU cooler (like the Thermaltake V6). Luckily it only took a couple of bent cooler fins, and I got it to work like a charm.
