Not too shabby.

Being a PCI card, this winds up being a slight bit slower than my ageing AGP 8x FX 5200, however considering this replaced an old S3 Aurora 64V+ I was using as a secondary card, it's awesome. :) The only odd thing was I set my primary vid card in my bios to agp, and it starts this one up, and if I set it to pci, it starts up the agp... Much strangeness. |

Great Value

I had to upgrade my daughter's PC video card to accommodate Sims 3. Installation was simple (this was the first time I've installed a new video card), and it works fine. For the price, it's a great deal. I had trouble installing the sw, but when I called and they had me do it in safe mode, it installed fine. Turns out Sims 3 gives you a download mgr which conflicted with the sw, so I uninstalled the download mgr. |

Worked great

This video card worked on my Dell E310 which has no PCI-express slots. Worked first time with Vista Ultimate. Just what I wanted. Great video card for people who only have PCI slots to work with. |

good for an old computer to live
Comment:
well it's been a bunch of months and so far this card is doing great. If u want to upgrade an old computer like my Celeron Dim3000 Dell to watch stuff on big screen tv's from the computer, then this is more than the card to get (the picture quality is really clear with many different options for tv output resolutions too), however it did slow down my system a tad, but then again the celeron is a weak chip to begin with, the only thing i would not get it for is playing video games which i don't do on here(unless is very low level gaming) otherwise it takes care of everything else just fine. Also the delivery was prompt and reliable. |

Last upgrade for a PCI dinosaur
Comment:
Needed one more video upgrade on a 5+ year old machine and this did the trick. Allows me to play all the games the machine can handle. It was a bit difficult to install, but I managed to do it without calling tech support. Driver issues with the CD that came with it so I went to website and downloaded the more recent ones. Took a couple reboots to get it all to click, but now I'm very happy with the performance and price. My star ratings are based on my machine with the 4star for the drivers quality. |

Not fully tested ... :(

Received the card promptly from TigerDirect. A+ for Tiger. Card is a little long and hits motherboard jumper block on my Intel miniITX mobo which didn't allow booting of PC. Purchased a low-profile bracket directly from EVGA (EVGA support good and fast on recommending correct part). Inserted card into another PC and it works. Card now sitting in box as spare. :( |

EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512-P1-N724-LR Video Card
Comment:
i've had the card for a couple of weeks now. it is AWESOME! it makes game graphics look like action movies instead of a bunch of pixels. i used the component hookup with my 52'' projection tv. let the fraggin' begin! |
i bought this card for the direct x 10,9.0 and dvi support since my onboard graphics did not support it and most games use it and it works flawlessly slightly choppy running battlefield 2142 but cod 5 and need for speed look great on a 22 inch hd monitor. (psn)irish-iron
