EVGA GeForce GTS 250 512-P3-1140-TR Video Card
Cons:
reduced cost heatsink.
Pros: Cheep price point DDR3 memory Comment:
This is a low cost heat sink version of the gts 250. The performance is on par with other gts 250. but the heat is heauxaust inside the case instead of outside. you will need a better ventilated case for this card. |

Great Card for the Price
Comment:
EVGA GeForce GTS 250 512MB DDR3 PCIe, VGA & HDMIGreat cards for the price. Running 2x in SLI and getting smooth play on every game I've tried. Cards stay relatively cool on stock cooling - idle temps 37 to 42C and 63 to 68C at full load. Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Borderlands, Resident Evil 5, Supreme Commander, Call of Duty 4 - all on Max Settings except for Crysis. AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE at 3.84GHz, 4096MB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1066, 1.5TB WD Caviar Green HDD, 2x EVGA GeForce GTS 250 in SLI Mode, 805w OCZ GameXStream PSU. |

EVGA GeForce GTS 250 512MB DDR3 PCIe, VGA & HDMIEven though this GPU shader clock is lower than its coutnerparts it does the job. I run my games in high setting and high resolution. This GTS 250 is also cheaper than other GTS 250 but like i said it does it job. WEI score on Window 7 scores it 6.8 for both gaming graphics and graphics. Great card |

Hidden treasures with this one
Comment:
EVGA GeForce GTS 250 512MB DDR3 PCIe, VGA & HDMI So I purchased this card to replace my video card I purchased three years ago. I wasn't initially certain I could run a this card on my older motherboard, but once I realized that I could (with a bit of a drop in performance due to the older interface), I went and purchased this card to run games more smoothly. The hi-def port on this one is the real plus, as it will connect easily to a hi-def monitor or HDTV display, such as the one I have. Note that you do give up some RAM for this feature--this card comes in a non-HDMI 1 GB version as well. The extras are really what sold this card for me. The rebate was good, and the manufacturer also has a promotion with this and other similar cards where if you purchase them from certain retailers such as this one, they'll throw in a downloadable copies of games through their website. Inexpensive card upgrade plus free software equals happy user. |
its a cheap card. can be sli. price is better when pm/sale/rebate opportunity. other cards might be more powerful but for those that dont have the money for a better card this could be an option
