(I can't stand them on the sides) (other thoughts)I hope the second card I get will have the head space to at least hit 900 mhz. I believe I just got fortunate with mine. This thing is wonderful. The major explanation i bought this card is from reviews about how two of these can outperform a GTX 580 and doing it cooler, quieter and slightly more affordable. I opted for this card with the sole intention of SLI'ing in the future. I game at 1920x1080 and even further down the futur intend on performing 3D surround. This card is amazing by iteslf at that resolution. All games I play, Dirt two, Grid, Dead Space 1 and 2, F.E.A.R. 1 and two, COD MW two and Black Ops, Fallout three and New Vegas, ALL on maxed setting with out so a lot as a jitter. I honestly do not have to have a second one particular. This card is effective adequate to hold its personal on its own, but why have a single when you can have two plus eye candy galore. Pair this issue with a second gen i5 or i7 for highest quality results. |

Excellent card, runs quiet. I run mainly Flight Sim 9 and I can max out the settings and still get properly more than 50 FPS. A major improvement more than my 7950 GT KO. Not actually a con, but if you have a tool-less case, with a PCI slot clamp thing, you almost certainly wont be in a position to shut the clamp point totally soon after install this card because of the heatsink Some men and women right here have complained about fan noise -- let's put some numbers into the equationɅ. On Win 7 w/ aero the fan runs at about 30Ŵ. The fan isn't even actually audible until you get to ㅪ% 3. Even at 95% (the max the EVGA tester app would go) the fan isnt quite loud -- but dont run it at 95% if an individual is sleeping subsequent to your computer system... |

This card has some beastly power behind it, coming from an 8800 GT.Lifetime warranty.Runs just about anything I can throw at it without any video lag.The card itself runs at a cool 20-30C, seldom obtaining above that. Thinking about my old card was hitting 70C and higher, I'm content. My CPU is most likely bottlenecking the GPU's overall performance, so there's my subsequent set of upgrades. Will be getting an additional of these for myself for SLI, as nicely as one for my fiancee's rig.five Eggs, satisfied consumer right here! |

Runs anything I throw at it. Granted my screen can only do 720P but anything looks Great on it. A HUUUGE upgrade from my 8800 GT and its truly is a beast. the weight of the card and the power plugs make the card pushed down so you can see a visible opening amongst the card and the plastic fan point. Looks like it can snap right off. Luckly case has some video card brackets so I'm not worried about it now but can be a bit disturbing to view. Lost Planet two with every little thing set to MAX runs around 50FPS on DX11 on my setup. |

Develop Quality - It's great. Constructed really solid, and EVGA backs it with the lifetime warranty. Just make sure you have adequate space in your case because the card will eat up a lot of room.Overall performance - This factor is a beast. It can run anything at the highest or practically at the highest settings. I've been enjoying quite a few high-end games with beautiful graphics thanks to this card.Worth - I believe nVidia just hit the sweetest spot in terms of performance/$ ratio for the first time since...GeForce 8800 GTS..which was the card I was upgrading from. You can't go wrong with headroom for OC and 1GB of GDDR5 at 赼 or under. The heat it generates has given me headaches. This is specially troublesome when I'm playing graphic intense games for a extended period of time. I normally use headphones so the fan noise isn't really an concern, but it is an problem when my computer reboots due to overheating. In order to prevent this, I retain my currently dust totally free personal computer Truly dust no cost, preserve all my windows open in my room so that my space temperature goes down when I play. Is it worth the trouble to play games cold by means of the Canadian winter? Completely, at least for me. I'd be outdoors throughout the summer season so it's not truly an situation. ;) For my overheating situation, note that I have lots of points in my case too, which means my airflow in my case isn't specifically best. To repair that concern for me will indicate lots of money spending and rearranging issues in my case which will also take my important time. If your case is standing empty sufficient, you may not see this temperature challenge. |

It's a substantial improvement more than my 8800 GT, as it can run any games I have on the highest settings, such as Crysis, Dragon Age, Starcraft 2, and so on.It's smaller than quite a few other best-end cards.temps are great, 32 idle and 60 load. none so far. I'm running this with an i7-950 with 6 gigs of ram, so gaming must not be a issue for the most component with the 19-inch monitor I have.SLI with another GTX 460 would blow any games out of the water, so to speak, and i'm considering this thought on Christmas time.I very recommend this for gaming, video editing, and other graphics-intensive applications. Something that aren't would be a waste of this card's possible. |

I've only had this card for about a week now, but so far it is amazing. Worked straight out of the box, runs all my games a full graphics, and stays cool and quiet for the most component. It by no means hits above 60 degrees, even below load, i have the fan on auto and it hardly ever hits above 50 percent, which by no means get louder than my 7-120mm fanned situation lol. The size of the thing is a plus too, its about an inch, inch and a half shorter than my gts250 Havent gotten something to say for this so far, if anything takes place i'll deff post one thing This issue overclocks like a freaking champ. The temperature readings above are soon after i over-clocked to 850, factor nevertheless runs incredibly cool for how substantially i pushed it. I only suggest overclocking this thing if you use the proper computer software, and make sure you scan it so you know its not too stressed. Im operating this card in the new MSI FUZION board, so i matched this card with my old gts250 so it gets alittle bit of a increase, added on with the more than-clock, this point compares to the 480 overall performance sensible.I would recomment this card to anyone who's constructing on a budget and whats good performance for the value. Plus you can not beat EVGA's lifetime warranty, and newegg is usually great, have by no means had any issues what so ever. |

Runs everything smoothly at 1080p, even with my old Core2Duo E8400. I upgraded from a HD4830, and my framerates doubled in numerous games. The stock "superclock" is nice so you don't have to mess around with overclocking yourself. These cards advantage a lot from the extra clock speed also. The card seems to run really quiet too, even when running demanding games.EVGA is also a prime Nvidia partner and has good warranties on their cards. It wasn't free and doesn't do my laundry? :)Seriously though the only con I can think of is the lack of three-monitor assistance, but considering that I have 1 monitor that's a non-issue. Positive there are more rapidly cards out there, but not in this price tag range. The 6800 series from AMD perform extremely similarly to these GTX460s, and are about the similar price tag. Either one is a good buy, but right after having five AMD/ATi cards in a row, I decided to try Nvidia again. I haven't actually noticed any main variations, except the GPU manage panels. |

I purchased to replace my failing twin 8800 GTX's I had in SLI. This a single card out performs Both by itself! Runs about 30 degree's F lower and is about three 1ǘ inches shorter! Much a lot more room in my complete tower for air flow. I am running at 'stock' speeds, and it is quite quiet. I have been 'testing' with wow, and Shayia at Full res, anti asl, and not 1 lag or slow down yet! Roughly about 38 to 40 fps. I will need much more games to test this on! The only 'real' problem I had was that as considerably as it cost and is produced for SLI - it did NOT come with an SLI bridge. Saving to buy a second [ Not that I actually need to have, but 'want' ] as this byself is excellent! What will 2 be in a position to do? |

I upgraded my ASUS M3A78-T AM2+ motherboard from a Phenom 9600 Black Edtn to a Phenom II 940 Black edtn, and the graphics card from the MSI Radeon HD 4670 512MB to this card. Wow, what an improvement! Crysis would hardly run at the lowest settings with the old card, and now I have it cranked all the way up, and it is playable! So, if you have a MB with an AM2+ socket, and a PCI x16 slot, and you are seeking for the greatest way to commit 跌 to bring it up to date, get this setup. I like the fan exhaust out the slot in back. My old card just kept that heat in the situation. In fact, the casing also prevents infra-red (radiant) heat from affecting heat sinks and memory solutions. From time to time people today don't consider those items. None. Good product! I mentioned it all in the pros section. Now I require to go dig up the rebate slip... |

This card is basically remarkable. I've read from several places that these Fermi powered cards run HOT. Oh man how it was anything at all BUT hot. - Idled at stock speeds at 32 degrees C and no a lot more than 45 degrees beneath load.- When OC'ed to 844 with a Memory Clock of 2075, I manage to preserve idle temps the identical with a mere 15% boost in fan speed although underload speeds only break 60 degrees C when "Scanning for Artifacts" or some other similarly strong GPU anxiety test.- Quiet! Can't even heard it until the fan speeds go over 70%!- Unbelievable Card - I have an AMD processor as an alternative of an Intel chip :'(- Can't overclock additional? Not precisely a con as these speeds are larger than the 470 @ stock speeds.- Can't get me a beer. Wonderful card! I extremely suggest this to anybody who desires an awesome card, yet doesn't want to spend over 跌 for a 58xx, 59xx, 68xx, 69xx, or 470+ card. You can't go wrong with this big boy. |
