EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB GDDR5 384BIT 6008MHZ 941MHZ DVI-I HDMI SLI Ready Graphics Card
Cons:Still pricey for a video card. I bought this on the morning it was released and it was cheaper.
Pros:Oh so powerful, and quiet. Rear heat exhaust. Reasonable power draw for the performance. Great at folding. Comment:
I'm sure you've read the reviews and know how powerful the 780 is. Well it's all true. I'm running 2560 x 1600 and games are smooth with lots of eye candy. It also folds like crazy if you are into folding at home. I chose this model because it has a good stock OC (1041 Mhz all the time in games and folding) and with the rear exhaust my internal case and cpu temps are ~7 C cooler than my previous Windforce vid card. If you can afford it, it's a great card. Btw, the stock cooler is so good looking, it's a shame I don't have a case window. |
I chose this card for the stock cooler which blows air out the back as opposed to into the case, and I'm glad I did because the heat coming out of it is pretty high. My case remains cool with this card and 2 top intakes and 1 front intake.Playing AC4 and Metro Last Light at max settings never went above 70C after overclocking and manually setting fan curve.Great for cases with side window. All 3 of my intake fans have blue led but weren't strong enough. The green glow from this card makes my case look less plain.
