EVGA UV Plus USB to DVI-I/VGA Adapter USB2.0 Up to 1400X1050 Resolution
Cons:adds stress to your processoris a bit of a hassle to set up on a system with 4 monitors alreadyslight lag on the image but nothing too excessive
Pros:adds another monitor to your pcis nice and smallhas a really cool retractable usb cable Comment:
I tried to connect this to my pc that already has 4 monitors. After the software was installed, it failed to work. I tried rebooting, and then it worked but monitors 3 and 4 (now displaced to 4 and 5) did not work. After rebooting again I managed to get my two monitors back, but again lost my monitor connected to this. After some time fiddling with it I finally got it working. and all 5 monitors sit happily on my desk. Its obvious to me that this was designed for use on a pc that only has one graphics card. But in the end I worked fine. There is also a mild lag on the newly added monitor but nothing too bad. I bought it expecting a far worse lag, as it is running on usb and is meant mainly to increase productivity. Not a bad product, does what its supposed to do. And the retractible cord it comes with is really neat. And for 18 bucks, you cant go wrong. |

An overall excellent product with a few minor annoyances which can be easily worked around. This is also the only external video card I know of with 64 bit drivers for Windows Vista This review was modfied by poster @ 01-06-09 11:47 AM |

EVGA UV Plus USB to DVI-I/VGA Adapter USB2.0 Up to 1400X1050 Resolution
Cons:Possible driver problems
Pros:Works well for regular 2D graphics Comment:
I am not sure about other people, but I've had some driver problems with this one, in both, XP and Vista 32-bit. I actually was never able to get it working in XP and would get a blue screen everytime I connected the monitor to this. And that's with trying both, the included drivers and the latest drivers from EVGA site, with multiple re-installations. In Vista, it works fine with a 8800GTS non-SLI setup, with 3 monitors. However, using the 9800GX2 card, I am never able to get all 3 screens working (in multi-display mode), and this only functions correctly with multi-GPU mode - with one monitor from the card and one from the EVGA USB adapter. |

EVGA UV Plus USB to DVI-I/VGA Adapter USB2.0 Up to 1400X1050 Resolution
Cons:None
Pros:Extra monitor without the need for dual slot display adapterPortableEasy to install Comment:
Overall I'm happy with this purchase. I primarily bought this so I could have two displays at work which makes life easier when your monitoring a ticketing system. Our work desktops are these old Dell desktops that use integrated graphics and the only slot available that could be used for video was a pci slot. This was the perfect solution to what I was looking for. |

EVGA UV Plus USB to DVI-I/VGA Adapter USB2.0 Up to 1400X1050 Resolution
Cons:None
Pros:Software installation was a breezeHardware connection was simple. Comment:
I am very pleased with this adapter. I work in the call center industry and need to keep a constant eye on service levels among other duties. This USB to VGA adapter is working great!! I highly recommend it! |
I ordered this product to add a 3rd monitor to my setup, as I often have several documents open at once and require a little more real-estate that was provided by my two monitors. I found an old 19" Samsung LCD and ordered the UV Plus+12, as the output resolution of that matched the native resolution of the monitor. It works perfectly with negligible lag. I would recommend installing UltraMon to use with this if you have several monitors, as it has a few useful functions specifically made for multi-monitor setups.
