Pros:MDF, they turn on and work. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:Lacking in low end.
Pros:Cheap when on sale or PM. Decent sound for cheap 2.0 speakers. Decent look. Comment:
Decent little speakers that have decent sound at low to mid level volume. They sound like crap cranked up though but at this price that's almost expected. Overall, you get what you paid for if on sale or PM. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:3.5mm stereo (AUX) cable attached to speaker
Pros:Looks awesome,Strong buttons and knobs Comment:
Beautiful speakers, with dark grey wood texture.Sound is very clean, but lacks bass, but very good pop and push with more wooden instruments and acoustics.I have this connected to my bed room's TV with an adapter, the headphones are clear with no noticeable noise from the TV. The volume knob is strong and tight, the power button is strong with a deep push in, I like that.Small dark green power light, doesn't bother me much. The biggest problem I've had with these speakers is that the cables are all attached to the unit. The line-in maybe too short for some people. The cable for the other speaker is abit short so you can't really move each speaker apart much. Makes a good desk system.Personally I turned each speaker on it's side and taped them together with a clear tape, so they are like a sound bar. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:None.
Pros:Great Price, great sound Comment:
Most surprising find. Bought 2.0 logitech speakers for kids, died after ~1 year. Paid $20. Much better speakers and cost less to bout. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:none
Pros:Looks, Build Quality & Sound Quality Comment:
Fantastic value. Speakers are made of mdf (wood) instead of plastic so they don't feel or sound cheap. Great sound for 2.0, to get better sound you'll probably have to spend over $75 |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:None
Pros:Great priceGood construction quality Comment:
For an inexpensive sub-$20 set of speakers these are a good deal. Most other brands use cheap plastic enclosures with no weight so they are constantly dragged around with the cables, these are wood cabinets with some weight. Most other brands also use a wall-wart adapter whereas these use an internal power supply with standard AC cord. They sound good for a $15 pair of speakers, they are no comparison to the $150+ speakers, but for the price they sound fine. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:
-Sound quality is of course relatively poor from a single driver, but at this price level, not a complaint
Pros: -Price-Build Quality Comment:
I bought these for my parents' and younger sibling's basic internet browsing computers. These are built very well, and for the price (pricematched) I would definitely buy again. Just make sure to adjust your expectations before purchasing these, keep its price in mind! |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:
-It's not surround, but what did you expect from 2.0 speakers?
Pros: -Price-Sound Quality (all things considered) Comment:
These are really the bare minimum I'd consider giving away with a system. They sound decent - you really notice it when checking them out with a movie or Skype. Unlike most 2.0 speakers, they can go fairly loud without crackling or other artifacts. I'd say they're usable up to about 6 feet away. They aren't the best 2.0 speakers out there - but what did you expect for $12?Spend the extra $4 over the cheapest ones on NCIX - it's worth it! |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:
not the kind you should get if you are planning to listen to ton of music (but if you love music, you shouldn't be looking at $20 speakers either)
Pros: for the price, its a steal Comment:
I mostly use my headphone setup for listen to music and watching movies, and bought this as a suppliment when I dont want to put my headphone on all the time. For the price, it looks really good. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:
Not very 'pretty', though I do like their simplicity.
Pros: Inexpensive, Wood, Clear sound, Everything's internal (no power-box to clutter your powerbar) Comment:
So I basically searched the site for the cheapest speakers I could find, then I noticed these for a few bucks more. I already have a set of Edifier speakers (2.1 set, E3300 or something) that I like a lot, so I figured the extra couple bucks would be worth it for a brand that has done me right before. What you get is a quality built speaker set, good audio clarity and volume, and all built together to keep things clean and tidy. Bass output is mediocre, but after break-in time and some creative EQing, they're not too bad considering they're probably 1.5" drivers. If I could have asked for anything else, i'd say little rubber stick-on feet. I put some on mine to keep them from sliding around, it was a good idea. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:
Perhaps that you can't get all Black!
Pros: Price, Quality, Appearance, Wood! Comment:
I've bought 3 pairs of these for budget builds (1 pair was bought at another store) and these are perfect for listening to tunes/movies on your PC. Ok they are not elite specimens here but for under 20 bucks...they look and sound great. My customers love em for the sound/looks and minimal footprint. I've found the buttons to be of decent quality...like they'll last feeling. |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:none
Pros:Excellent sound quality at this price rangeBuild quality Comment:
I bought for kitchen. I use them connected to my netbook to listen to radio/music and watch the news while I cook and these do deliver. As far as I know are a Canadian company that provides a great audio experience.I would definitely buy these again, especially over the other big names. Not that I've had problems with the big names, just that I don't feel their products can deliver the same quality at this price point. A+ |

Edifier R18 Multimedia Speaker with Wood Enclosures
Cons:why doesn't the volume knob also control the headphone jack?big power cord
Pros:retro look (remember wood casing?!!!)decent sound, adequate shielding Comment:
These are not bad for the price. They make sound without buzzing or whining. They look good. They are not expensive. They make me remember the 80's, when these would have cost about $90. Progress is good. |
For sale price the sound is ok mediocre for music not the greatest for TV shows but will do for cheap. The set I got has a buggered volume knob but the rest works enough so why bother exchanging them. 3 stars for semi satisfactory nothing stellar though.
