Ek Water Blocks Ek Multioption Res 150 REV.2 Water Cooling Tube Reservoir G1/4
Cons:
Questionable seal integrity.
Pros: Functional. easy to install, look good in the case. 4 ports allows a bit of freedom in setting up your loop(s). Comment:
I bought two of these for use in a new WC build. One of them worked absolutely fine. The second one leaked profusely from the threaded connection where the clear tube meets up with the black base. It turns out that they're just threaded together with no additional adhesive or sealant applied to ensure a solid seal. For the price, this is an unfortunate oversight.I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying one of these, but based on my experience I would encourage that users make sure the black top and bottom pieces are threaded tightly and then plug the bottom and side ports, fill with water, and let sit for a while to ensure no leaks from the joints. |
I just got these 150v2 res, its a solid piece. As usual EK delivers simple well though out and well engineered and manufactured products. It's a great little reservoir. The top and bottom separate by twisting off, the derlin sections both have an embedded rubber O-ring that prevents leaks. I think the other reviewer perhaps just got one with a manufacturing defect which may happen from time to time. I tested my res by filling it and leaving it sitting or a day and night, and its perfect. What i really like about these, is the fact that u can disassemble them, and clean everything easily if need be. Highly recommended.
