I bought this unit as an outdoor WIFI access point. I could not get any signal unless a few feet from the unit. After some investigation, I found out that the internal antenna only supports 802.11A. To use b/g you need an additional SMA antenna.This unit will work well for a point to point solution but not as a general use b/g access point.I see that NCIX have already modified the product description.I now have a EnGenius EOA3630 Long Range Outdoor Wireless G Access Point which works great, I would recommend considering it for outdoor access point use.
