We used a pair of these units to create a wireless bridge between a house and a barn. Between trees and 250 yards, this setup is working great for the VOiP system that we deployed. 3 months running and no issues. Great value and performance.

Of approximately 20 AP/Client products I have tested to date this unit provides the longest range of any of them. Using two such units and the provided antennas, a working range of about a mile is realistic. With a ''fishbone'' (11 element yagi) antenna such as the MFJ-1800, these units were able to make a link just under 5 miles. This is using unencrypted 802.11b. You MUST have unobstructed line of sight. The interface is better than most, but that is not saying much. The best feature of the interface is the link indicator. It updates once every 5 or 10 seconds and gives a reasonable indication of link quality. The supplied mounting hardware is the most complete I've ever seen. With the supplied hardware you can easily mount to a wood, metal or cement wall, a pole, or probably even a tree if you had to. I have no information on durability or reliability as the units are just going into service now.
