I use it to scan pictures and I'm satisfied with the result. I never tried the feature to scan slides and negatives. The only feature I'm missing is the automatic document feeder which is sold separately, but is quite expansive... |

Cons:For me the price is abit high but well it is the buyers decision to decide wether to buy or not.

Cons:Scanning takes a little time. The scanning software isn't very user friendly.
Pros:Good quality pictures, we like it. In addition, LED scanning is good. We like this scanner because it is faster than most scanners we have used in the past. Comment:

This is an excellent product that works flawlessly. I use it mostly to digitize old family slides and pics. I found that the scanner 6400 dpi hardware resolution is overkill for such material, but the built-in infrared dust/scratch removal feature and the bundled Photoshp Elements 9 are worth the price premium Epson is asking for this model. Together, they enable me to get clean, good looking scans of slides from decades past.The scanning software included is very effective, as it has a good number of useful features and many configuration options. But it may require that you invest a little time to get around some small quirks.
